I chose "super steel" but that's not always the case. So long as the price is right, I'm usually happy with 14C28N, N690, etc. 🤷‍♂️

That option bucked a trend that would otherwise lead me to picking Other: None of the Above. I'm okay with knives made in Japan but some of these are straight-up deal-breakers for me.

If we are just being sarcastic here, I'd change my vote to Other: Blade gets really close to edge of scale when knife is closed.

I prefer made in America, I like a Hamon, comfortable handle in any position, a good pocket clip that won’t eat my pocket and no skulls, absolutely no skulls. I am 60 years old and I have no fascination with death, I will experience that once and then I am stuck with a skull for all eternity 💀

A thickass titanium pocket clip that's so stiff that it's impossible to get out of your pocket and even harder to clip it back in. Even better if the clip has a big carved skull or shield or gargoyle or something soldered onto it, sticks out really far to bang on/snag on/scratch up everything, and costs $400 extra.

An Emerson wave! or a ziptie.

Spyderco should include a zip tie with all their knives.

My list of characteristics that will down-elect a knife from my must-bnuy list (in no specific order):

Tanto point
Made In Pakistan
Spyderco hump-and-hole
Shakey or ose blade folder
Hype: Resting on historic, legend or tradition rather than forward looking innovation based on performance.
