I voted for “other.” For me, one thing that is ALWAYS appreciated is a substantial handle. 4” minimum, 4.5”-5” preferred handle length. 0.6”-1.3” handle thickness preferred. Regardless of the blade length, those are the handle specs I always want.

I voted other. To expand on that, what I mean is that I like a blade steel that is on the softer side than a lot of steels seem to be anymore. I don’t want a blade that’s so hard I have to break out one of my flat files to sharpen the thing.

Reasonable cost, simple features!

I will be forever tempted to buy another Opinel or Mora, even when I know I’ll never use it. Just an attractive selling feature.

Other.

I mean, not ALL knives benefit from this, but I really appreciate a real finger guard on the vast majority of knife styles (kitchen, EDC, SD, field, heavy use, survival, etc.)

A REAL guard - 90 degrees or more - not just a ramp leading your index finger (or pinky in reverse grip) up onto the blade. Small knives too please!

I immediately pre-ordered the ZT 0560 (Hinderer design) when I first saw a picture because it actually had a fully functional, concave/wrap-around finger guard. 👍👍

(I bought it, and still carry it, despite the super steel, and jimping everywhere… ;))

All right guys, I ran the results of the poll through an AI Supercomputer, and it determined with digital precision what's the coolest knife that's better than any other.

Drum roll please!
