Carrying my first Fiddleback Forge blade a wrapped Runt. Still the most practical day to day workhorse.

The Esquire again today:

... and every day, really.

Now that it's colder and I'm wearing more layers, I'm using my Rick Lowe belt sheath more and more, instead of just evenings/week ends.

Perfect, sleek angles for unobtrusive carry, and total comfort. I've gone looking for my knife, not remembering it's already on my belt. :o

[The same is true of my RLO crossdraw sheath for my Patch knife. These sheaths are really working out for me.]

I love the small detail Rick added, of having the top of the sheath echo the lines of the Esquire's handle...

... and how both sheath and handle are becoming burnished with regular wear and use:

Esquire(s), so fine.

I'm carrying mine today, too, but only took a picture of these:

Doing a little testing... haven't been totin' around anything but a SAK lately, nice to have a fixed blade back in my pocket.

Cool, glad to see someone else carrying a Wingman and testing it a bit.

Brian,

Does it also have blue liners? Man...that's my weakness right there!

Yes, actually it does. I would love one just like it with lime green liners. You know...because Hobbits are so fond of yellow and green :)

Great photograph, Brian! Man that Esquire is sweeeeeet !

Thank you, and yes very sweet. This one is just on loan, though maybe very long-term loan. Kinda hoping I can sort out a way to trade him out of it though :)

Where there's a will, there's always a way! :D

Btw, That's an awesome photo.

Well if I ever find one with green liners, I'll trade you.

I have to trade my way into this one before I could trade it for another one lol. I haven't even seen any with the green liners and Osage, and 5/32 seems to be even more rare. As is, I am elated to find this one :D I have been looking for a swedged Osage Monarch with green liners for Bilbo for a long time now...

Thanks Jim. And now I'll see what all I can come up with :)

A new Old School Karda in the pocket and an OKT Trail Hand on the belt. Really finding it hard to swap the belt-carried Trail Hand out with something else since I got it last week but what isn't there to love about super thin tapered 3/32 CPM154 wrapped in carbon fiber?

The carry:

I tried an Old School Karda years ago and determined that it is not for me. The Trail Hand really hits a sweet spot for size and comfort for me. Yours is particularly nice in thin tapered 3/32" CPM 154 with a high grind and carbon fiber handles. That is a sweet one Jerry.

Thanks (on the Trail Hand).

I was not sure about the Old School Karda either the first time I handled it but I'm making an honest attempt at giving it a try. Its one of those things where, while you fiddle around with a new knife in the hand to get a feel for balance and changing position or grip, you almost grab the blade or make finger contact with the blade. While I'm usually looking for guardless knives, this is one where I get the feeling that an incident could occur and more of a guard or curved/indented area would help. However, the handle can't get much more narrow at that point than it already is. That being said, the blade shape is appealing to me and the blade length is really decent given the OAL of the knife. It offers a nice blade in a small, thin and concealable package.
