What Fiddleback Forge knife are you totin' today?

Ya'll are having way too much fun down there in Georgia while I'm freezing my ass off up here in this tree stand up in the mountains of North Cackalacky. Well...to be honest, I am typing this from my living room. I needed a snack. Back out in a few.

They're all beautiful, but that's a pretty spectacular representation of bog oak there, Phillip.

I can just see it in my mind's eye. Someone mentions a loose string on their shirt and every guy within earshot does this mad scramble to get one, of the many, cutting implements they are carrying out quickest so they get to do the cutting. :p

During some of my work, weeks like this one and the next few, my Fiddlebacks take on an added special role for me. One of keeping me grounded, keeping thoughts from becoming too dark, and reminding me just why I do some of the work I do.

Waited a long time to catch this one!

Now we're talking. :)

I have that same combination, with slightly different appointments in the Esquire. It's funny how big your Baron looks in that picture, due to its being closer to the camera. I would have guessed "Earl," had you not already said otherwise.

... I like how the Esquire sits in the Baron probably the best of my current APS/FF combinations.

Congratulations!

Isn't it nice to get your dream esquire?? I finally was able to pry away the black and natural one from Jerry (warrior108)

It's sure is! It's nice to have such helpful members here. Thanks Jerry!

I'm just the Esquire distributor here. Vote for me and I'll make all your dreams come true ;)

I'm not usually a 5/32" fan and definitely not in smaller blades but I love that 5/32 TT Bushnub that I got in trade for the Esquire with Heeso. A win-win for sure.

Finding your dream Esquire is a special moment indeed. I did not expect to find one in tapered 5/32, much less with Osage too :)

That osage with blue esquire is perfect. Perfect.

Well...in all honesty..."perfect" for me personally would be tapered 3/16 and Osage with lime green liners, but this is close enough that I was ecstatic to run across it :)

Yup, we each have our personal obsessions. Mine happens to be osage with blue (currently). Tapered in 3/16 would be just fine as well. But this one is awfully nice.

Taking a short coffee break from the hunt. I'm getting a bit old for this - heading into the woods at 5:45am, temps hovering around 12 degrees, with snow flurries. Well, old might be the wrong word. How about a bit more sensitive to the realities.

My carry combo today

I'm hoping to need them with this ol' boy. But he's proving to be very tough indeed. We don't see many bucks like this around here, so he didn't get this big by making mistakes.
