What folder do you hogs and piglets carry?

Pretty sure it was this thread that planted the seed in my mind. Haven't carried a folder in a while, not after my disappointment with my last Benchmade knife.

Anyhow, saw a lot of nice knives in this thread, but I knew there was one I had to finally try for myself. It arrived earlier today:

And trust me, I wasted no time turning this beast into a user! :D :D :D

I usually carry 2 folding knives, a combination of my: ZT0301, BM 710 M4 LE, Kershaw mini-Cyclone in titanium and zdp189, and a Hinderer XM-18. Here is a shot of my XM-18s.

I never carry my folders for ridiculously hard use, IMO thats what fixed blades are for, so i never bought any sebenzas or super expensive folders.
I carry a Cold Steel Recon 1 that has served me well with absolutely no problems and a victorinox ranger SAK which is infinitely useful in both wilderness activities and SAR

Unfortunately, I'm in an area where I can not carry fixed blades.:thumbdn:

I carried the CGG Sebenza in 08 which gained sentimental value so I replaced it with the small 21 (Now with Barry H G-10 handle) for 09. I purchased my small Sebenza Insingo 06-50 in May which will now be my primary EDC!

I can't really see any other folder that could possibly replace my Sebenzas for EDC except the XM-18, but that is a bit out of my price range.:foot:

Either a JYDII CB (blem) or the Kershaw Leek 1660t (w/ an aluminum American flag scale swapped onto it).

My dream right now would be the Kershaw Volt. I really wish I didn't have to cancel my order due to medical bills.

Here are my two EDC folders. Large and small sebenza's. I carry one of them at all times.

Here is one that I carry and really like a lot, a real tank of a folder.

I carry a G10-handled, stonewashed S-30V blade Kershaw Leek. It's a lightweight, assisted-opening slicer, not a prybar; after years trying, I haven't found anything else that I'm happier with, and its not so expensive that I'd go nuts if something happens to it.

I picked up a few more folders for EDC at BLADE this year... A very lightweight but tough utility style 'Snakedoc' folder from Mikkel Willumsen and a small Fusion framelock flipper from David Mosier... Actually, I got 3 small Fusions... 2 linerlocks...one is the prototype small Fusion, and this framelock, which I have been carrying since BLADE...

The 'Snakedoc' & the 'Fusion' framelock flipper, both with IKBS for some smooth action:

The Mosier small Fusion Framelock with the proto small Fusion... David's been on my radar for several years now, thanks in no small part to Ken44, who brought him to my attention back at BLADE 2007... Every year, David just keeps improving by leaps & bounds, and both his fixed-blades and now his folders are just excellent pieces for both carrying & collecting! Every year, his table is a regular stop for me, but after last year, I learned to hit him earlier...This year, he was my first stop, and so I got my pick. :D:thumbup: ...Which was a good idea, because he sold out before noon on Friday!!!
For those who like 'em bigger, David's large version of the Fusion has a 4" blade, while these have approximately 3.5" blades.

My last Fusion, and my new Hinderers, an XM-18 3" and the very hot XM-24 should be arriving by the end of the week... I had a very good year at the Hinderer lottery, with many...many thanxx to VoxHog on the XM-18!! When I get 'em, I'll post 'em. :)

I like my ZT0200 for 'around town' use. It's great defense or just for cutting.

My RAT1 is my work/beater folder.

Nothing original here. I alternate between SPyderco Gayle Bradley in M4 and my CRK Sebenza shown below. More and more it has become the Sebenza. Just feels good in the hand and in my pocket:D
