What folder do you hogs and piglets carry?

endurance wave and salt 1. Before that rookie. And g10 harpie. Before that benchmade stryker and Emerson commander. Lost the stryker or I might still be carrying it

I rotate between an Al Mar SERE 2000, Spyderco Native and Emerson CQC-7 for pocket carry, and have a Gerber 06 for belt/sheath carry. The Gerber is seriously a solid folder, very well made.

This little Case knife always seems to find itself in my pocket. It's small, sharp, opens with one hand and gets the job done for everyday cutting tasks. I don't know what kind of steel it is, but it holds an awesome edge. It's not tactical, it's just a handy knife in my pocket when I need to cut something.

Ummm... New additions to the rotation:

Kudos on the Salt1. I also carry one. Could not beleive that in 7 pages of posts that it had not popped up yet. So far it is the only thing that likes the environment I work in.

Sometimes swiss army rucksak or wenger clipper with spyderco tasman or ladybug or buck vantage BOS.

I love no-nonsense, hard-use fixed blades in Res-C or micarta, but I also have a penchant for traditional, natural-material-handled knives, and I like to indulge that fetish in my EDC folders. Here's a little Case jigged-bone mini-copperlock that's an exact copy of the one that rides in my pocket almost every day if I'm not carrying something bigger. Another favorite is the Joe Allen jigged-bone Backpocket model below it.

Bailey Bradshaw made this self-lock in stag for me. It's one-of-a-kind, based on an old Henckel's folding hunter model from the 1800's. To be honest, I've not been able to bring myself to carry it, yet, so I'm on the fence as to whether to keep it or not. Love the deep-relief engraving, though:

Thanks guys. Yours too, Will! And congrats on getting inducted. It's a shame we didn't get to shake hands.

The top two are both Vanquishes by Jeremy Marsh. The top one is an EDC/CQC version with a choil and jimping on the spine. The second one was a gift from Derrick Obatake of Steel Flame, and I call it the DrangonsBane, as it wears a bronze dragon bead, also a gift from Derrick.

The third one is a fancy Swoop, by Michael Burch of Burchtree Bladeworks. It was a grail for me and is my gentleman's carry. Selling my Terzuola TTF-3 with Buffalo horn slabs because this replaced it.

I must say I've been very lucky.

Thanks,

Jason

Benchmade 950 and for dress 960 D2.

Is this the one you let me handle out by the fountain at BLADE? :) What's the maker's name again?? I really like that one and need to get on his list!:thumbup:

I'mGatMan!, I wanna know what you're doing that causes people to want to gift you expensive knives!

You must be a Jedi, or possibly a wizard!!!:thumbup::thumbup:

Yes it is! Indeed a solid knife. It has recently relegated my XM to the EDC tray during the days. I know...blasphemy...but damn it's a solid knife. The maker is Jeremy Marsh. Real cool guy. Spent an hour on the phone with him earlier just shooting the breeze. May have him making me two other knives to match the second (DragonsBane) Vanquish. :D (Not any time soon though; i's broked!)

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

The funny thing is that I kinda look like the short Puerto Rican version of that guy! :D

Honestly bro...I just do my best to help out when I can, and I always try to pay things forward. You saw most of what I scored at Blade, right? Well only ONE of those knives was for me. The Chubby went to a friend as a gift, the Mini Rockeye was for another buddy, and the TWO XM-24's were proxy scores. If you go over to the Steel Flame forum, you'll see that Derrick got a sick Marsh Minion from me for all the cool isht he's done for me and my family.

When I went to Blade, my goal (for myself) was to get those two Vanquishes above, however the moment Jeremy opened his case he got swarmed (by mostly dealers who have marked his knives up HORRENDOUSLY) and I had to do the lean-and-reach between 5 people to get the one with the holes.

Later I found out that Derrick got the hamoned Vanquish from EBossHoss and when I spoke to him I told him that that had been one of the knives I went there to get. Later that week my buddy ReticRich told me to go by his shop. When I got there he handed me a pouch holding the second Vanquish. When I called Derrick he told me he loved the knife, but that it just didn't feel right in his pocket knowing that I had wanted it. When I offered to pay him he told me no. There's more to the story, but I'll keep that private. Suffice to say that Derrick is family in my eyes.

As for the SFNO Jamie gave me, I don't even know how to explain that, but it will be in my collection forever. My buddy ReticRich says I hafta use it to kill a hog next time he rides out. It will certainly be a user. Jamie...thank you so much! I hope someday I can repay your kindness!

Grim, go over to the forum and look for my "Sharing the Love" post. ;)
