My son got me the Esee 3 for Christmas 2011. I was thinking of getting a 4, but didn't really see where it was necessary. I don't understand why they made the 4's blade length longer, but kept the same size handle as the 3 has.
 
Try another place? The only Esee I've had or even handled was an Izula. It was a great little knife......maybe I should get another.

Ordered a bunch of stuff for the new 10/22? New stock, trigger parts, adjustable vblock, extra mags, bolt buffer, and an allen wrench takedown screw. Should be fun......:D
 
The Izzy's are a great pair of knives. I love the blade shape, and the size of the original is sweet. Got my lady the Izzy2 and it's one of her most-used knives, right behind this tiny little utility blade I made her early in my 'career'.

The E3... I think they could have got more handle out of that OAL, and adding more blade on the 4 didn't make a lot of sense to me. If I were their consulting designer, I'd tease more usable handle out of that shape and apply it to both knives. IMO the E3 should err on the side of more handle rather than the E4 erring on the side of too little. But then my general philosophy is 'bring enough handle'. :)

So anyway, Dubz, I think you got the best of that pair.

That's the key, slowly getting knives that kinda look like ones you already have, so when your girlfriend, wife, mother/mother in law ask about it you say "no I've had this for like a year and a half" :D

or you can pull the purse card redirect on them, "when did you get that new purse, what was wrong with your old one, how much did you spend..."
 
Just uploaded my paypal, gonna get myself some izula scales for the Eskabar. I already have the factory scales in black & orange, but I like to switch things up.

What do you mean by "blasting run"? I find the choice of media is not as important as the pressure used behind it.

If you're looking to get stuff done, email me with specifics.

Sounds/looks like me at his age, hanging around Dad's shop. Except instead of the Kindle, I was playing on the lathe. (Yeah, at that age!)
