Yeah I should have done that. When it slid off it wasnt close at all I think its the angle but now I see why you put your hand behind you.

Congrats! hell even if it just fires blanks its more than people in a lot of countries can own.
I hope one day citizens of other countries regain their ability to own conventional firearms, I live in one of the most restrictive states in the US when it comes to firearms and I can still purchase whatever firearm I want (besides handguns until I turn 21) if I have the money
Nope, the magazine and chamber are made to fit the 9mm blanks. I'm sure I could somehow make it to fire 22lfb, but that would be... highly illegal
Yeah, I can get a license for this one, costs 50€ and with it I can legally carry that thing wherever I want, except for public events like protests, sports events or such.
The interesting thing is, there are pepper (OC) and tear gas (CS) cartridges, there's the pyro ammunition (for signaling, 4th of July and New Year's), and then of course there are other things like making a barrel for 4.5mm diabolos (air rifle ammo) that screws to the front of the P22's barrel. Of course, that too would be highly illegal, so I never mentioned that, and I do not encourage anyone to do that.

I think for someone who can't own a real gun this is a very viable option, especially in the outdoors. It can fire blanks and OC/CS for scaring off and defense against wild animals (also the 2 legged kind) and a lot of different ammo for distress signals.

Compared to a "real" flare gun that thing is shit. I have an old 40mm flare gun, those things go up 500ft and come down slowly on a small parachute. Burn time 30 secs. But then again, that gun with 5 shots weighs in at about 8lbs.
For a "just in case" option that blank gun is nice though, I'm thinking about getting a second magazine, loading one with 1 blank and 6 OC cartridges (so I can fire a warning shot before someone gets pepper in the face), while keeping the other one loaded with normal blanks and tossing it into my woods kit with a few of these red distress signal thingies.
I want to try firelighting with one of those!
