I'd like the list of stuff they need too. Besides essentials I want to send my Vic Hiker, some 550 cord, maybe a couple small tools. Even if it's stuff they already have they can trade it for other stuff, right?

Baby wipes and porn. Two brothers, both of which deployed 3 times each, and that was the two things they wanted. According to them, they could trade for anything else they wanted with those two items. I also sent recently recorded TV shows to them and snacks, but I think they weren't really too concerned about that. YMMV

Just curious, why baby wipes?

Just got the Spyderco Delica4 in. I'm actually digging this one. Didn't like the Mil, Para-Mil, or any of the cheap-o line (tenacious, etc) all that much. This one is right about the same size as the Leek (which I love), but a little more heft to it.

well with all that porn...
But serriosly If you've ever been in a situation where you couldn't get a decent shower in any length of time (Backpacking, sailing etc.) its amazing how clean those little things can get you.

I went to poop at a friend's house a while back, and only after I was finished with my business I realized that there was no toilet paper. I did, however, find some baby wipes.

I have never felt so very fresh and clean right after pooping.

With those 3D printers becoming more and more reasonable, I've thought about it. Mostly for handling practice and toys for my son and his friends...but I could see there being benefit to it for sheath-making, too.

Yup, wet setting leather to knives does some rust damage over time and I was thinking about my kid too cause he always wants to play with my knives.

I've made them out of plywood for doing Kydex.
Carved a 2X4 into the shape of a Garmin GPS to make a bunch of holsters for my search and rescue group - to keep the heat of the Kydex from damaging the GPS.
Got some thin 3/16" poplar plywood and made strips to mold Kydex around to make belt loops. The plywood strips are the "belts", and I have a few set aside for different width belts.

I'll bet you have some Kydex scraps around that you could cement together to make a plastic "knife"...

Some new gear arrived today...

That Pocket Rocket is pretty dang tiny (put in the Microstream for scale)

Baby wipes are perfect for getting sand out of all kinds of places it dosnt belong. Worth their weight in gold over there.

Does anyone have a Worksharp here? We have one at work to sharpen customer knives and I bring mine in sometimes but that gets annoying, I would like to have one at home. Is the ease of use worth the price over my mousepad/sandpaper?

Anybody know the members name that came up with the Eskabar prototype? and or can link me to the original thread. Reviewing the 14 and I want to make sure I get my info correct.
