Ha that's a good one, but yeah it would be nice to try before I buy but the only store I've ever been to that caries anything besides your standard bucks and gerber's and stuff is a small sporting goods store in Saranac Lake NY (near where I go to school) that has a lot of Beckers and recently got in the full tweener lineup, but they are unfortunately not an Esee retailer.
 
Hey mrn8, I'll be up in you neck of the woods next week. Well, Portage Wi. I don't know if that's your neck of the woods or not. I can't wait to crack a Spotted Cow or two..or six. New Glaurus makes some good stuff! And I won't be leaving town without some cheese curds.

For some reason the E6 and Junglas are the only full-size ESEE's that felt good in my hand.

I would definetly go with the 2. Everyone should have one (or more). That huge retailer has them under $60 with free shipping--good time to buy--they change prices alot. I just bout the lansky deluxe 5 stone from there and the price changed from 32 to 37 right before I bought it--

The 6 does look nice, but in a way I already got an Esee I picked up another EsKabar (that's on its way) so Ill call it even :D I do think a BK-2 is in my near future though...
 
Portage is about 2 hours from where I'm at, but sounds like you've got some good ideas already. If you get down to Madison, check out Ale Asylum. They just expanded their brewery / restaurant and it's supposed to be really nice. I've not been to the new place, but their selection is pretty good.

Never had been a cat guy, but my wife has one, and for the last 5 years I must say he has been no trouble. However, I don't know if he's getting old or what, but he has just started pissing on our carpet. My remedy is to shoot the sumbitch but the wife and kids trump me there. So. I got two questions for all you genious's. First, WTF? Why after 5 years piss on the carpet. And 2. What in the hell gets the smell of cat piss out of carpet? That stinch is terrible and I AM NOT gonna tolerate it. We barrowed a shampooer. Gonna try it tonight.

The shampooer will work pretty well. I always use the ARM&Hammer Deoderizing powder after it dries (sprinkle it all over, let it set a while then vacuum it up) I would also try to soak up the pee as quickly as you can (shamwow towels work well) and use Woolite Pet Stain and Odor Remover. That has done an excellent job saving our carpet from our Yorkshire Terror (i mean terrior)--works on vomit and blood pretty well too)
 
So it works on vomit, blood, AND piss. Damn buddy, sounds like you know how to party!:p
 
Yeah, I believe I already said that. Unfortunately that's not a option. I think the wife would vote to shoot me before that damn cat.

This is not a funny story, but a true one. An acquaintance of mine once worked service calls for Bell South. At a call, an older lady pleaded with him and his co-worker not to open the door and let the dog out. Anyway, the little bugger kept yapping, yapping, yapping, and snipping at this guy while he worked on a line, so he gently (*ahem*) tapped the doggie on the forehead with some tool or another. Swears he wasn't trying to do bodily harm, but the dog fell over dead. "M'am, I'm really sorry, but we went out to get some tools and the dog got out."
