Cats can get territorial or cranky for a couple reasons. If the litterbox is foul, make sure it's clean. Make sure the door to where it's kept isn't locked, etc. Make sure the cat gets punished (reasonably) and in a timely fashion so it knows what it did wrong. Mine would get placed at his mess, yelled at, and locked in the basement. he hates being alone. He outgrew that phase, I guess. Also, there's a hormone-like product you can get at the vet that simulates the smell of them rubbing on things. Note that they won't pee where they play, sleep, or eat, so this stuff makes them feel like they're in a sleeping spot or something.

pro tip: spray some on your bed...

ETA: maybe he thinks Murph is your new pet and he's feeling that his turf is being invaded? ;)

The cat has no need to be intimidated by Murph. He is the more intellegent of the two creatures. (The cat) and if you saw the pics Murph posted of his name written skills in the snow. You would see that I got a problem with Murph pissing all over the place too. But I just hit him in the face with a rolled up newspaper and that seems to work with him........so far.

My first take at the Beast M-18 I starred at this for hours before committing to the shape, still needs to be tweeked, I used boltaron instead of Kydex. First time using that stuff too.

The cat or Murph?

Nice work 710. I made a couple that looked real similar. The problem I ran into was it is too tight. The forward top curvature makes it hard to insert or draw. How do you combat that?

Anyone here use japanese waterstones? I've got some christmas money left over and want to invest in some good sharpening stuff.

Edit: I am especially looking at the Naniwa brand as I can get those quite cheap on amazon. They seem to be good, but I'd like to get an opinion from you guys.

Todd won't do anything to harm me, he'd hafta start carrying his own stuff; flashlight, pen, lighter and probably even a knife!

This is the front, hehehe
I used a lot of tape and heated the back up and bubbled it out a little, it still a little sticky but it will smoothen out, I got a lot of messing around with it still.

Yeah but the day that he gets a tactical'd mobility scooter from trade, your days are numbered, all he'd need is a little basket on the front :D

Haha. Its true. Murph is like the swiss army knife of buddies. I don't need to carry much stuff when he's around. Hell, the guy carries a beer purse for cryin out loud.

Yeah, get yourself a 4x4 electrical scooter, save yourself all that annoying walking to get out there to play with knives :D

haha, I was wondering the same! "but geez, did he ever get it out??"
The boltaron stuff seems to require more heat. What do you think of it?

oh crap, if the cat spied Murph marking in HIS (the cat's) territory that could be the problem right there.
here's my second recommendation: as soon as you catch Murph making his next mark, hit him with the newspaper and make sure the cat sees you do it.
