What I Really Like About Kizer

I like a lot of what I've seen from Kizer but I'm stuck in the apparent slums of the Vanguard and Tangram lines. 
I was really enamored with the Vanguard Velox 2 for a while. The deal-breaker was that the base of the blade gets way too close to the edge of the scale when closed. I actually caught the tip of my finger while playing with it! It wasn't just me either. I saw that it came up in a few reviews as well. The guy on Gideon's Tactical got a nice slice.
One other concern I had is that Nick Shabazz mentioned that disassembly voids the warranty. Is this still the case and does it affect all Kizer knives?
