What is the largest knife you actually use?

This big Gerber Parang that I've wanted to replace for a long time now.

It just works. I actually just redid the edge because it was pretty mangled. Just a used belt on a 1" sander. Came out pretty well. Then I hacked a bunch of creeping evergreen ground cover stuff and wacked a few rocks by accident lol. Oh well. That's the good part about the Gerber. Don't really care too much.

I've been checking out those skrama knives. Might grab one of the larger ones.

It would be a tossup between a Mora Companion and a Green River 4215. Although, TBH, my biggest knife meets your standard of >50 cuts would be the Opinel No. 7 that has been replacing the No. 6 I usually carry.
Having just revisited the rules for this thread, I have to confess to some machete use. The ones I can claim 50 cuts for are 14” Tramontina bolo, 13” Condor Golok, and Skrama 240.

Biggest is a Kershaw Camp 10. Gets used for all kinds of stuff. Clearing brush around the campsite, processing wood, and anything else you use a big knife for out in the woods.

Cold Steel Recon Tanto (7”) sees a lot of camp use surprisingly. It’s lighter on my pack than the Camp 10, so it goes on more actual hikes.

My custom is about 4.25” and it’s the largest I’ll EDC, but usually I have a ~3.5” fixed or folder for EDC

(Edited to fix links)

I think it’s funny, the Gerber BG stuff gets a lot of hate, but like yours, mine just won’t die. I bought this for camping long before I really got into knives. It’s bean through hell and back with just minor touch ups to the blade. And that bright orange makes it easy to spot around camp if you misplace it.

Lol well I definitely wouldn't be beating something nice like that off of the ground. I think that's where cheap beater like this Gerber or a skrama comes in to play.

Heck yeah. I bought this thing at a gander mountain clearance sale many years back.

Yardwork with a Tramontina 18” or a vintage woodsman’s pal.
My most used is a Blur I’ve had for about 12 years or so.

fixed blade is my TFK T11 - 8.6 OAL and 4.3" blade. mostly for outdoors use, hunting, fishing, camping and whatever else I need to cut around the house
folder, Kizer Begleiter - 7.87 OAL and 3.4" blade. one of my regular carries. in my pocket today

Longest would be a 7" fillet knife, not sure if that really counts though as it almost falls into the Kitchen knife category. Outside of the kitchen the most length for me on a knife blade is 5". Past that I find the knife's usefullness starts to suffer noticeably, with very little advantage gained until knife gets significantly longer. JMO.

Mostly though, I'd say I use knives with blades around the 2.5-4" length the most.

My most used size blade is around 3 inches Buck 112, 501, 347 but I also use a Buck 110 3.75 inch a lot. When I’m camping, fishing or hunting I use a Buck 117 or 104 with a 4.5 inch blade mostly. Only occasionally I will use a 119, or 124 for camp duties. My largest blade is a 108 compadre froe for making camp fire wood kindling and is made for batoning and as a machete.
Edit to add, the froe is a 10 inch blade mostly.
