What is the one Spyderco that you feel every collector should have at least one of?

I have something coming in the mail that I am Super excited about :D

I still stand by my initial statement on the Delica,

.... but, after reading all of the responses here, a thought occurred to me.

I think it is worth mentioning ( and may change my thinking on this topic ) that the one Spyderco that every collection should have is the Spyderco that started it all for that person.

Which ever one that happened to be the one that you picked up, held in your hand, and said " I must have this knife! ".

That is the knife that started it for all of us.

This makes a strong case for every collection needing to contain "THE" knife that was "YOUR" first Spyderco or, at least one just like it if you no longer have it.

You may be fortunate enough to still have this knife ( if you do, hang on to it! )

For many of us that is unlikely as that knife is probably long gone by now.

If you are lucky, you might be able to track one down.

I got lucky and found one.

That is what I have coming in the mail. :thumbup:

I think it's a true eye-opener about the benefits of carrying a "little big" knife. I can't think of any other blade that feels so secure in the hand... cuts so much/so well... TRULY disappears in the pocket... and tames those plastic clam-shell packages like a boss.

Incidentally, it's the only knife I have two versions of (a Nishijin glass-fiber handle for my desk job/dressy occasions, and a black FRN for everything else).

Others in the Spyderco collection: PM2, M2, M2XL, Zulu, Techno, Southard, Des Horn, Delica 4FFG, Endura 4FFG, Stretch.
 
Terzuola Starmate,the original with medallion and large etchings.......now that is a beaut my friends.
 
That lum folding tanto is pretty sweet, I hope we get a sprint soon. I've really grown to like my Southard, I wish they would make it just a tiny bit larger for my hands and sprint it.
 
I can't help think of the Millie in whatever flavor suits me. S30V, S60V/440V, S90V, M390, BG42, CPM M4 ( Ti), Cruwear, . Seems like I'm missing something. Anyway, the Ti CPM M4 would have to be my choice. The Endura Super Blue, the S110V Manix, the F2 Farid in 10V. How the heck is one supposed to pick>
 
Aside from the Ladybugs on all our keychains, my daily carry is a Delica combo edge in foliage green in my right front pocket, and a ZT 0562 in my left (along with a Glock on my right hip) My Sunday "going to meeting" carry is a Damascus Delica in my left front pocket, and a Kimber Ultra Crimson Carry on my right hip. A Delica is always present...
