What is the one Spyderco that you feel every collector should have at least one of?

if you have the chance to, the damascus endure with jigged bone will be a sweet piece to add to your collection

Delica wins I think... even though my most favourite blade is the Caly3 platform (I only own one in Superblue), and military

I always recommend Delica to anyone looking for a Spyderco knife.

I'd have to say a Spyderco Southard. It is just such a nice knife, the shape of the blade is so unique, and theirs no other Spyderco like it.
Other than that, I'd have to say a Paramilitary 2 just because everyone needs one!

Spyderco Delica definately...... Have been using my Spyderco Delica 4 Superblue/420J1 for the past 6 months.... Awesome blade and stays sharp. Cannot remember when i last sharpened it!

When I think about spydies the delica is always the first one that I think of. I think its a must if your a spyderco fan.
After that its a toss up between the para2 and the manix2.

The Manix 2 IMO is a preference buy. It's still amazing and beautiful the leaf shaped blade just says something, and makes me crave the knife. It puts a huge belly on the knife (Which feels even bigger on my XL model) which I absolutely adore!
I've heard some people (in my situation, primarily my brother) don't trust the ball bearing lock, but those are people who don't understand it. The lock will never fail, especially with the strength of the damn spring in the knife. It makes it almost impossible to reassemble.

PM2, Delica, Native, D-Fly (G-10) ...

Any of these are good choices, and will likely lead to the acquisition of the others. I would look at the relative sizes / cost of each of these, and decide what fits your requirements best, then go from there ...

PM2 for me. It seems to me (I haven't verified) that Spyderco has made more variations and special sprint runs of the PM2 than any other model. That combined with the fact that they can't ever keep them in stock should be reason enough for any collector to include at least one. Frankly anyone into knives shouldn't need to do more than just hold one to know they need one.

I love my Tenacious and Dragonfly, which are both lovely knives. My PM2 is my best Spydie. But the one I carry most often, because it feels right, cuts superbly and satisfies my soul? Endura.

Spyderco Caly 3 and Spyderco Gayle Bradley, two best ones IMHO.

I am simply stunned that in over 90 comments the Caly series has only been mentioned three times! Once each by rexormic and SouthEast and somewhat obliquely but bh49 who stated "...prefer knives with finger choil for use and carry few Natives, Persian, Calys and Kopa...)"

For me, after the Delica and Endura options which are admittedly a great first step into quality knives and Spydies (my first Spydie was a Delica too!), the Caly's are classic Spyderco. Strong lock, classic Spyderco leaf-shaped blades, practicality of form and function, etc., etc., etc...

I love the Caly series and own several across the series. This one is probably my favourite (but mine now sports a deep patina);

If you can't find or don't want to pay for an original LNIB stainless Worker, then the new Sprint run Worker should be in every collector's collection. After all, it is the Spyderco that started it all.

+1 for SS Police. When I hold one I understand why the knife has gone unchanged for so long. It's just timeless
