what is the sharpest FACTORY edge you've seen?

Kershaw leek. My brother gave them to his groomsmen as gifts and within 5 minutes about three of us had cut ourselves.

Lately, Kershaw seems to be in the winner`s circle....both of my Tyrades and my ZT-350 were wicked sharp out of the box....prior to that, top honors probably go to my Cold Steel Trailmaster Bowie (first production run, Carbon V)....that sumbitch cut 3 inches of free-hanging manila rope with one swipe....

Sharpest factory edge I've had was a Lone Wolf Harsey T1 in Carbon Fiber / S30V.

Still sad I sold that knife.

first a spyderco calypso jr in zdp189, second a fallkniven u2 with sgps.

Ditto this one!!

Both were the sharpest that I have owned. The Kershaw JYDII w/G10 and composite D2 is close and barely behind those two.

Kershaw RAM and Manix 2 were both scary sharp out of the box. (and of course my Shuns....)

BM made a run of limited edition balisongs with a chris blade with what they called a zero edge, scary sharp.

Buck 110 is probably the sharpest knive I own Even the knives I sharpen myself dont compare to how sharp this knife came.

I couldn't say exactly which one, but most of my Spyderco's came *VERY* sharp.

My Sg2 JYD was scary at first. I'm just now able with my SM and a belt able to get an edge better than it shipped from the factory. Truly scared me at the time. But now I want sharper and sharper. :D

Nothing compared to a Benchmade Brend. The best grind I've ever seen on any knife. Wicked sharp.

I'd agree with those that said the Kershaw JYD II in SG2. Most of my Kershaws are impressively sharp directly from the factory, but that knife came freaky sharp out of the box!! It's ground so thin, that when I test the edge with the pad of my thumb, it makes this faint metallic humming sound like a tuning fork. Never seen anything else that sharp out of the box.

That being said, many of my spydercos are extremely sharp from the factory. They know how to put an excellent edge on their knives:thumbup:

My sharpest is a tie btwn this Benchmade 806 Limited with CPM-M4 steel, and my Nimravus 140 with M2 steel.
