What is the ugliest knife you know of?

It doesnt have two different styles of Damascus.
The bolsters look to be Mokume.
Not exactly an ugly knife, but Not my style either.
Maybe we should focus on actual, quality knives?

Yep...you are right. My mistake. It's mokume. Technicality but....it's still a different pattern + color than the damascus and still looks horrible next to it. Total overkill.

That knife is so ugly

I'll call it SNAGGLETOOTH!

I would actually buy it just to show people! It is like looking at a huge scar. Its unpleasant to stare at but you can't look away.

Geez, I've seen knives that were badly beaten by the ugly bat (Spyderco probably has that step as part of the knife design process :)) but this one fell off the ugly tree hitting every branch on the way down...

Not just an exceedingly ugly design, but a stoooopid one as well. WINNAH!

You found it, Redguy! That's the one! Ga-ross! :barf:
Here it is, in living colour:

Equally bad is the spelling in the ad:
"...gold and matte finish meatl hanlde liner-lock tactical ..."

OH MY GOD! That is so ugly it's fantastic! What are you supposed to use that for? Man I wish I would have seen this before christmas. I would have given everyone I know one and acted totally serious about it being so beautiful and high quality! That would have been the perfect gag!

I can't believe they get $16.95 for these though.

Wonder who the marketing genius was who decided to devote shoddy materials and cheap man-hours to producing that mound of feces?

Looks like a winner to me.:barf:

This might have been mentioned since I haven't read all the responses, but those Chinese made slipjoints with the brightly colored bone handles (lime green is the worst) are what get my vote.

Finally, finally, finally... someone admits that Spyderco is FN ugly!

The blades look like bird or reptile heads. There is just no masculine appeal to most of them. Come to think of it, they look like they were either designed by girls, or for girls... all of that swoopiness. Men tend to go for harder, more angular lines... I think.

Actually, men tend to go for knives that work. Guys who care too much about "lines" are girly men and probably wear them for decoration.

Just messin with ya and standing up for my Spydies :D .

imho the ugliest one i have ever owned is a tarani master model kerambit from kerambit.com, ugly and very unappealing, to me anyway.

the ugliest one i have ever seen is the CRKT rainbow van hoys i wouldnt be caught dead with those things in my pocket. i cant believe anything that looks like that would sell.........

the one in post #50 with the yellow handles and funky whirly girly looking blade is the pits also, again why would anyone buy something like that, it looks like mad maxx's can opener ..........why am i not suprised its a frost lol.

The tanto folder made for H&K by Benchmade is ugly to me. The blade shape ruins an otherwise nice looking knife. As for Spydies, I think I'm desensitized to their looks and a knife like the Manix really doesn't look too bad next to others at all. The Gunting, Massad Ayoob, Jot Singh Khalsa... those I just can't get used to.

I have to have one...as the resident knife expert, I'd tell everyone how it's Spyderbench knife, and was designed by Keanu Reeves Knives. It has S2400V steel. The "teeth" are made out of adiantium. Just holding it helps cure cancer.

It has to be wildly amusing.

I'll bet I could make that edge profile (unsharpened) in like 30 minutes in my garage.

One thing with Spyderco, every detail has purpose. They are the first "tactical" knife. They introduced so many useful concepts that many designers borrow them. From holes to clips, these thought up by Spyderco. It is so common to see Spydercos these days that their looks have grown on all of us. Most of us do not see them as unpleasant to look at but see it as beautiful.

Well, yeah... that's why I put the clip inside my pocket and the knife hangs outside where everyone can see it... duh! :)

I have to admit the BM "Gravy 'tater" is pretty bad, and I love BMs!

A lot of Spydies are bad, esp. ones with that weird curve, like the civilian. But I really like their "normal" looking knives, like the Native......

That snaggle tooth is the winner for sure!

actually, the knife i carry as my EDC..........Spydie Endura.

Man is it ugly.....but what a great knife!!
