What is the ugliest knife you know of?

In defense of Russ farrel designs ..

the knives are considered novelty knives, not meant to be a HIGH quality steel.. they do apeal to the knive collectors as I who carry EDC'S of low end folders for self defense and jsut to open random boxes and stuff.

not all knife collectors are "label whores" as i call soem people ..
i am as much as an enthusiest as all of you but enjoy a different spectrum of what a collector "wants" and likes .. soo this entire thread can be collective irony .. what one man thinks is ugly another man might LOVE..

i can care less of grades of steel and the swirly designs you can put in metal ..
i carry a sufficent enough blade to kill a man if in a out numbered and threatening situation occurs ..

were all one different types of collectors soo no need to bash a company for who they direct there product towards..

is my post clear enough that no toes get stepped on or memebers be offended ?

my intent isnt to cause conflict just to open the yes of numerous types of collectors ..

btw that condor design I dotn even like but it SOLD tons..

keep in mind us little guys who ust like an agressive tactical that can be used for othere things then cuttin through iron plates ;)

Well, my toes aren't stepped on, and everyone is entitled to their opinion but...

Crap is crap. The fact that the "condor" design sold tons only tells you that P.T. Barnum was right. I could see pulling that POS out if you intended for the BG to choke to death while he's laughing. I carry knives as a tool. Therefore, I'd like my tool to be the best it can be. If you're carrying a crappy tool for the purpose of killing a man, you might want to keep a note in your pocket expressing what you'd like on your tombstone.

If a man collects Dinosaur crap, that's cool and I have no problem with it. Its still crap though.

and for some reason you find it troublesome to read and understand my previous post .. i dotn cary for the SOLE purpose to kill a man ?? silly rabbit its if i need to defend my self .. though i have daily urges to stick people in the neck who are out of line with me ..

i dont own that specific model , but your soo factual comment that crap is crap really strengthens my thought that you didnt thoughly read thru..

it is capable of fending off attackers or expireing theyre lives in a incident where the crap is stuck in the neck of offender ?

case closed its function for this collector is justified :)

i lean towards asthetically pleasing in an agressive tactical form ..

not how well it holds an edge or what grade steel it is.

i am no less an enthuisest than you :)

good day sir ..

True, everyone is entitled to their opinion, but when someone posts a picture on a forum and surprises a great number of people, then THAT has something to say about that picture.

And people should definitely care about the quality of the product they are buying of course. Why buy shoddy item for $15.00 then $5.00 shipping. I would not trust a Frost in a situation where my life could depend on it. And many of Frosts designs makes the knife practically useless. You can buy a Spyderco Byrd for $5 more. You would have a knife of much better quality, looks much better to MOST people and finally have piece of mind.

I guess a collector could buy it for display. Its definitely a CONVERSATION piece, but most Frost knives are nothing more than that and not recommended for EDC.

And I thought that we were all just having fun bashing and trashing the knives that we personally don't like, you know, just gettin' the feelings out. We are not trying to hurt anyone's feelings.

Of course someone LOVES the knives that another guy HATES... and there's nothing wrong with that, we're humans after all.

Everyone has their own priorities whether it is beauty, utility, craftmanship or whatever... you're allowed that, ok?

Now, let's get on to hatin' :D ... knives that is...

Yeah, I get the point, and I got it the first time: There's an @ss for every seat. I also never said I had a problem with the guy collecting Dino turds- nor do I have any problem if you want to spend your money on sub-standard tools. Its your money so do with it what you like.

What I found troubling about your post was what you posted above. Okay, your knife is pretty and looks "bad." So what. If it won't cut butter, why would it go through a BG's clothes? Obviously one of the reasons you carry the knives you do is for SD. In your response you said:
"it is capable of fending off attackers or expireing theyre lives in a incident where the crap is stuck in the neck of offender? case closed its function for this collector is justified" You collect things to kill people with (maybe not your sole purpose but one of them as you yourself has admitted). You try to stab a BG with a crappy knife with no edge and you risk just pissing the guy off and getting yourself possibly hurt if the friggin thing fails on you. But hey, it LOOKED pretty.

Like I said, I understood the point of your original post, but found the secondary comments wanting.

Crap Knives are crap, there is nothing positive about them. There are quality knives available for a similar or lower price
Ignorance is bliss, I guess.

You're not gonna believe this: I showed to my wife and a bunch of friends the "Snaggletooth" and they all exclaimed "What a cool knife! How much? We want one too!" And I was thinking they have taste... I find this knife butt ugly.

but for the money, the ugliest (at least among popular knives) has got to be the new benchmade rukus (really ugly handle!). i'm sure its a great knife, but i think it looks so ugly

i really want to buy a new benchmade but so many of the new ones are ugly compared to the old ones. what's going on with the company?
