Seeing as how everyone loves my taste for Chinese knives from the highly coveted AliExpress, here's "What is this" part 2! You're welcome in advance...

So the brand I think is Infinite, based on the add posting, but on the back of the knife under the clip it reads Infinity, and the model is Tattoo. Look like original design? Your thoughts and knowledge sought.

TC4 titanium scales, Timascus inserts front and back with matching clip and M390 (claimed) blade.

You can make all the jokes you want, but I find nothing funny about supporting ANYONE who knowingly deals with and profits from selling counterfeits, fakes, forgeries and knock-offs.

Especially when there is no shortage of legitimate, above-the-table dealers around who are trying to make an honest living.

I let your first thread slide, but not this one.

Op is specifically asking to make sure these knives are not counterfeit or knockoffs. Here's a quote from his first post;
if you recognize it as a legit knife I can buy from a legit source or not. If not, I'm so trying it
Not sure what you mean by letting his first post slide but hopefully this can clear up some confusion.

There is no confusion.

Why is anyone dealing with, or even considering buying knives from Aliexpress???? Buy from legitimate dealers and you don't need to wonder.

Why wouldn't one?

Your guilt by association BS just doesn't fly with me. Again, as I've said a dozen times, you're welcome to draw your line further down the field, but my line is clear, it's not knowingly getting a counterfeit. Simple as that. With some it's easy, like anything ZT or Benchmade from AliExpress, you know they're all frauds, no need to question. But things like this, I've never seen before anywhere, it is exactly as you describe, an original design on the up and up. It might come from a dealer or production company that also deals in counterfeits, but that's not going to stop me from getting what I want. So if you can find me something exactly like this from what you consider a reputable company in all in. It's all about the design for me. I love it, this is the look I want. It's really, truly, so very simple. Not sure why do many have to attempt to overcomplicate this. But yes, I am very glad this gets your father's ruffled, because its for no good reason that they are. My money, my knife, not counterfeit, not against the rules, all equaling zero issues and yet here we are... rock throwing in glass houses.

Ever but a knife from Amazon? Just asking for a friend...

Try to rationalize it however you want.

And no, I have never purchased a knife from Amazon either.

Don't need to try, it is rational. It's not taking any money out of anyone's pocket, this is the knife I want and it's not made by anyone else from what I can tell. So there ya have it. Empty virtue signaling as usual.

If I have to go on a forum and ask if a knife is an original design before buying it, I’d move on. Lots of knives and lots of well respected knife makers out there.
And yet nobody can find anything that looks like what I want, this is what i want. I really don't get what's so difficult to understand about that. I like this knife, specifically. I've not seen this while looking elsewhere.

Too, I don't care what you guys like or respect, you literally dislike and disrespect this without any knowledge about it except where it's sold from and you expect me to just acquiesce and cave to an uninformed opinion? Pffft. Yeah, nah, hard pass!

Trying to do my due diligence first.
You've been here less than a week posting (trolling) about wanting to buy non-counterfeit knives from a company that hosts forgers. When called on that dubious practice you've responded with what's now become your trademark response - "virtue signaling". You're alienating a good number of well-respected members with your childish behavior; and yeah, you're not likely to last here.

Okay buddy. Nothing dubious about buying original designs knives, but go ahead with all the wolf crying.

The last few posts were added as I was typing this, so I think this post might be a waste of time. The issue Jay isn't so much the knife as it is the vendor.

And now what I was originally going to post-

I always try to give people the benefit of the doubt, but Jay, it really does look to me like you're trying to rub Aliexpress in the face of Bladeforums and it's members. Aliexpress is held in VERY low regards on this forum, and for good reason. Promoting them in any way, and that's what it looks to me like your doing, isn't going to gain you much respect or acceptance on this forum. Perhaps that doesn't matter to you.

You could have just posted the picture of the knife and asked if anyone recognized the brand or knew of any similar knives without mentioning where it's being sold. But I think you intentionally mentioned the vendor just to stick it in the forums face.

Take my word for it, or not, but continuing down the Aliexpress road here at Bladeforums isn't likely to go well for you.

Ever wonder why reputable makers go out of business?

Imagine you build a business and spend the R&D to develop a popular design.

Then, the design is stolen and sold much cheaper with inferior materials. A unsuspecting buyer thinks they are getting a deal. The product breaks, and the buyer writes off the brand since they think it's garbage. Or, even worse, they tell others to buy the clone instead of the real deal.

The counterfeiters make enough money selling fakes to make "original" designs.

It is not indicative to supporting legit makers, and many have shared how it's negatively impacts their
business.

Not a fan. The community is better served by calling this bad behavior out.

The issue has been the knife and the vendor the entire time. Just depends on which commenter you're reading. So if we were just talking about the knife everything would be fine? Pfft nope, and we all know that. Because it will come out at some point where it was from, which I'm sorry to say shouldn't matter. That's your baggage not mine. And why bother trying to hide that? Just because some people are offended by it? How about I stop saying Aliexpress and replace it with, "that place we dare not mention"? I mean be honest here, there's no avoiding it. There's no way to go about this without the delicacy of others being driven wild with rage and deep hatred.

Nobody talks about all the knives I own and have shared pictures of that aren't from AliExpress. Wonder why that is. You people are looking to be offended, it seems to me as an outsider. So keep reading into things what you want to see. Keep pretending you're a victim of my search to avoid buying fakes. It's truly the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen, but you don't scare me, bullies never have.

This guy needs to go do something else with his life. Or maybe he is the wrong pronoun? Could be "it"........ -

IGNORE THE "PERSON" - NOW ON

People go out of business for all kinds of reasons. I don't buy that it's those buying fakes as the reason. Also, I'm not buying fakes, I'm literally here trying to avoid that. This is such an absurd leap. Typical "correlation must equal causation because I'm not willing to do any further research or use any specific examples to be called out on" behavior.

So name a single clone I've told people to buy? Go ahead, I'll wait...
