As the one who started that thread, no, it's not even applicable here. Being new doesn't excuse repeatedly promoting a known seller of counterfeits.
You're not being bullied, you're not being attacked, stop playing the victim. You crossed a long and well-established line on this forum, in two threads on the same day, and as someone who has defended new members here on countless occasions over the years I firmly believe the criticism you have received is justified.
Buy whatever you want from wherever you want, most on this forum won't care how you choose to spend your money. But on an internet forum reputation is everything, it's your reputation that determines if people will trust you, and respect you, and bother to take the time to ever answer your questions.
I've been on this forum a long time, and from what I've seen, about THE WORST thing you can do here, short of ripping someone off in a deal, is promote and defend a Chinese vendor who sells counterfeits of US makers knives. That is something people won't forget, or forgive. People on this forum have LONG memories, they will forever remember you as the guy who buys from Aliexpress, and that's toxic.
And that brings me to something called "the law of unintended consequences". If you ever try to sell a knife on this forum, the people who know you from this thread (1000 views so far) are not going to want to buy from you.
And anyone else who may have considered buying from you will do a search of your post history to learn more about you, which takes all of two clicks. They will find this thread and see you as someone who buys knives from Aliexpress, a well-known source of counterfeits. And they are naturally going to be suspicious of anything you sell. They are going to think to themselves- "If he buys knives from a seller of counterfeits, maybe the knife he is selling is a counterfeit. No thanks, I'll pass".
When you throw your credibility away on this forum, it doesn't come back. And promoting a counterfeiter, and defending buying from them, is a great way to throw away your credibility here.
You might think were all a bunch of idiots who care too much about a vendor that sells counterfeits, but we do care, that's just the way it is. You came to us, we didn't drag you here.
Sure, by all means, stick around, keep starting threads, and keep talking about buying knives from Aliexpress if you want (or until the Mods say otherwise). But like I said on page one, I don't think things will go well for you here, for the reasons I've provided, not because we're all a bunch of virtue signaling meanies.
