What is this part 2

There are so many authorized sellers, a few on eBay I know and personally buy from on several occasions not to mention the major knife retailers who, if bought from can be done so without having to wonder or worry about. Places like AliExpress is the afterbirth filth of the larger sum of much better and safer companies to buy from. Never a reason to go so low that you should buy from them

Does anyone else think the new Avatar movie was about 40 minutes too long?

At the end of the day, I assume that we’re all Knife Knuts here. I was in a similar situation as the OP not that many years ago when Kizer and Reate were first breaking on the scene. I scoured the web for new designs and hidden gems. These knives that the OP is sharing might be the next “thing”. They might not.

I don’t fault him for looking, although I personally won’t buy from LiarExpress because of the number of clones and counterfeits that they host. But…there are large parts of the world that don’t have access to BHQ or Knifecenter. AliExpress is the global marketplace.

Let’s try to be nicer to each other and make this a civil, constructive discussion.

Wow, I'm blown away. Thank you for the logic and understanding. I'm truly not trying to harm anyone that's why I'm asking about things. Anyway thanks.

Why wouldn't one?

Your guilt by association BS just doesn't fly with me. Again, as I've said a dozen times, you're welcome to draw your line further down the field, but my line is clear, it's not knowingly getting a counterfeit. Simple as that. With some it's easy, like anything ZT or Benchmade from AliExpress, you know they're all frauds, no need to question. But things like this, I've never seen before anywhere, it is exactly as you describe, an original design on the up and up. It might come from a dealer or production company that also deals in counterfeits, but that's not going to stop me from getting what I want. So if you can find me something exactly like this from what you consider a reputable company in all in. It's all about the design for me. I love it, this is the look I want. It's really, truly, so very simple. Not sure why do many have to attempt to overcomplicate this. But yes, I am very glad this gets your father's ruffled, because its for no good reason that they are. My money, my knife, not counterfeit, not against the rules, all equaling zero issues and yet here we are... rock throwing in glass houses.

Ever but a knife from Amazon? Just asking for a friend...
How does a dude have this much self-justification for buying Chinese knives from Alibaba that he opens a second thread, to hit upon exposed nerve, STILL manage to be weird and xenophobic? I use that word instead of "racist" as "foreign" isn't a race. This was on the last thread.

Reads just like every foreigner talks.
at a line of gibberish from Alibaba.

Stop trying to get at people, dude. You'll find just not a lot of people choosing to support that here. My thoughts are, looks like a CRK inspired knife, I do like the purple, and I would not mess with unreputable Chinese framelocks. Especially framelocks, should say.

At least with my Kizer, I can say, there is a usable, safe tool. Only the ethics remain up for discussion, not the F&F, probably some warrantee, grind and 10V steel. This could be coming from the floor above United Cutlery.

People go out of business for all kinds of reasons. I don't buy that it's those buying fakes as the reason. Also, I'm not buying fakes, I'm literally here trying to avoid that. This is such an absurd leap. Typical "correlation must equal causation because I'm not willing to do any further research or use any specific examples to be called out on" behavior.

So name a single clone I've told people to buy? Go ahead, I'll wait...
Just because you don't believe it does not make it so. We have been told by many makers over the years how it is affected them, and not in a good way.

Just because a model you like is not a copy, despite being made by a company who indeed makes copies, is a conundrum that many people do not agree with.

Kevin John knives make counterfeits, yes?

But the Venom tho.

Because people like him can't understand that when you support purveyors of counterfeit knives, it does no one in this hobby any good.

And he keeps to trying to justify it by saying "but this one may not be fake..." and "I'm just trying to see if this one is fake". Here's a novel idea - stay away from Aliexpress, and support people that are actually honest. Even if - IF - this knife is legit, they still sell dozens of other known, undisputed blatant counterfeit knives.

WHO WE CHOOSE TO SUPPORT IN THIS HOBBY IS JUST AS IMPORTANT AS THE KNIVES THEMSELVES. Self-serving borderline trolls never understand this, and just worry about their own selfish interests.

Anyone that says any word ending in phobic these days is just laughable to me in every way. Accents are accents, pointing them out doesn't mean anything more than, "hey look, this fact exists."

I don't see the CRK in it, but I don't really like his knives much. Just very blah looking to me in general. I know that's unpopular, but as you can tell, that doesn't bother me at all.

As for getting at people, that's all of you on me. Not even a close comparison. But thank you for actually addressing the point of the post itself. I truly appreciate that very much.

Cool you don't like me because of where I shop for a couple of knives. I get it. I don't much like you because of the way you're treating me over such a small thing. So why keep going, it's not changing anything. Yes i am surprisingly self serving with the money I made for myself. What a crazy notion. I don't care about these "reputable" makers, they are their concern, I am mine. I'm not going to buy a knife I don't like as much as another just to make you feel better or to support a business that doesn't produce anything that suits me.

That said, if that really was your goal, then why not make recommendations for alternatives, rather than attack me personally over a difference of taste and opinion? Truly the most ridiculous thing. Though not a surprise at all in today's age.

And yet nobody can find anything that looks like what I want, this is what i want. I really don't get what's so difficult to understand about that. I like this knife, specifically. I've not seen this while looking elsewhere.

Too, I don't care what you guys like or respect, you literally dislike and disrespect this without any knowledge about it except where it's sold from and you expect me to just acquiesce and cave to an uninformed opinion? Pffft. Yeah, nah, hard pass!
If you don’t care what people like or respect- why ask what they think? If you want to buy it, then buy it. You are making it sound like it is okay to support a known fraudster because what you are buying ‘might not’ be a fraud. Doesn’t appeal to me. Just my thoughts.

What was your screen name when you were here previously?

I find it very strange that you care so little about literally everything else in this hobby, yet you don't want an obvious counterfeit. Makes no sense unless you are here just to...

So with that, buy your cloner trash knives and go away. You know what we think of them and you now, I doubt you'll last much longer if you keep this up.

If you like those knives, why not just buy them? Neither of the two you posted are my taste, but if you are curious, get them and see if you like them. No need to post about it so much.
Not sure why I have to keep stating this, but... because I'm trying to avoid counterfeits, because I can afford and would prefer original designs if these in fact are not. Really don't understand what's so difficult to grasp about that for so many.

"Thinks knives that are completely of original design are fakes just because they're the production child of a clone maker." Logical fallacy perhaps.

Why i have to keep repeating myself... okay, it's because I'm not asking for opinions about where it comes from or what it looks like in literally asking exactly what my original post very clearly states... are these original designs or copies because I'm trying to avoid copies.

In your first post you put up a knife asking if it's fake. You even type; (supposedly) m390.

Which indicates even we can't be sure it's real...well... because...hmmm.... it's posted on a site that routinely sells fakes.

The problem is, you want the real and the good from those who make fakes; what do you value in a knife besides knowing it isn't a fake Benchmade or whatever? Not the steel, no talk of blade design. Yeah, we get every brand on there may be a replica, but... they're still glad to lie on everything aboot those.
