What is up with the Raja II?

We love our knives. The Rajah II is sick piece of knife. I think that's 90% of the dealeo with the Rajah II right there.

Mr. Singularity notes its self-defense utility, and I think it was Mr. Esav maybe that mentioned hacking vines/limbs or whatnot. So there is that too, and it no doubt works in both roles. But the Rajah II exudes more of the good stuff we love about knives (bigger blade, bigger scales, bigger thwack, etc.) than many "normal" knives, and I think that's the draw for most of us who dig them. If chocolate is good, double nuclear fudge chocolate is even better because it has more of the good stuff. So does the Rajah II.

this thread started off like a bash Cold Steel session. Glad it evolved to show the Rajah 2 as a winner for its intended purpose, that being self defense and a reasonable stand in for a fixed blade.

Mine is beat to hell and back, you can search through threads for the story of defending myself with it against a feral dog.

Needless to say, love the Rajah, I can't imagine carrying some snack size $400 penis augmentation/forum fan boy folder in its stead.

I admit I do not like the Rajah II and probably never will but, it's never my intention to bash a tool just because. I know there are people out there who like things that I don't and that's ok. I respect that. I also like a lot of other CS products. I just really wanted to know what people were doing with the Raj and I've got some great answers. Any "bashing" is done in the lightest sense and I like the way this thread evolved too because even though a Raj probably won't ever work for me I learned something about the tool and people had a chance to share something about what they enjoy.:) Good times!

I carry mine in my acu pocket and use it everyday. it's a great outdoors knife. when I got it it seemed rediculasly large, but after I used it for while I realized it's a pretty handy knife for a guy that spends a lot of time in the woods, etc. I love mine.

Really Esav?

Tell me the case for carrying a $400 "tool" that goes over and above the "look at me" factor...or just do what you do and hit the ban button.

Esav is good people man, I don't know if u guys have some sort of something going on I don't know about, either way I don't think he bans folks just for the sake of doing it.

Umm, where are you shopping that the Rajah 2 goes for $400? Mine cost $85. Sure you're not looking at the Rajah 1, which goes for a lot more cause it is now discontinued?

It conceals well enough in the front pocket of business slacks, and is great for opening letters at the office. ;)

so much irony

This thread has inspired me to buy one. My Spartan looks downright practical to me now, so I have to replace it with a Rajah 2 as my insanely large folding sword.

If I had to.pull.out my rajah, id want it to be threatening. In fact, id want it to be dominating. Oh, and I can carry anything I want in the way of knives with no.fear of jail time so.I don't really care about.it being threatening. :p

Oh yah, and I have a few other knives when I don't want to be threatening.
