What is your beach knife?

I didn't buy it yet, but a fully serrated Pacific Salt in H1. Our member Surfinggringo convinced me to do that a long time ago. HE IS the expert on salt-water, IMO.

He is the expert enabler of the Salt line. I just got another Pacific. SE satin. It has been less than a week but considering the pool time this weekend and how damn hot it has been, this thing has been soaked! I took the safety tip down a bit.

Been trying to convince my wife that I need a salt 1 for the beach this year... wish me luck.

I keep telling her how great it will be at cutting apples and sandwiches for the kids. I can remove pesky tags from the sunglasses and sandals that she will inevitably purchase while there.

I just need a good reason why my current knives aren't sufficient... (they are, but I can't let on to that)

I pocket a Stretch in VG10 at the beach. On my last trip, I also took a Fallkniven F2 and a Warther fishing knife in S35V. I managed to slaughter a few whiting.

My wife and I go to the beach a lot and I take whatever I feel like using that day. Could be a spyderco millie, sak, svord peasant or a carbon opie no 8.

I don't go to the beach, so I don't have a beach knife. If I do decide to plan a beach vacation or something though, I'm already planning to buy a Tasman Salt.

I usually take my Endura 4 saber ground. However, it is a 50/50 edge and I actually don't like it that much (was second Spyderco, just bought it because I found it cheap). Everyone says great things about the fully serrated pacific in H1... so I might just grab one soon.

@mec003: The yellow handle makes the knife so different, than those black handled knives.
You can't loose it, you won't frighten people,...
The serrated edge is superb for slicing roles and opening the ever so good packed food.
The stain free blade alone justifies a buy...
Good luck!

PS: I've got an Delica ffg that serves me well.

I think the Salt is a great choice! I have a Lone wolf Landslide that I use.

I carry a Benchmade Lonewolf Mini Landslide. It has a 3" blade made of N680. It will not rust, as I have proven many times, yet holds a decent edge (about like AUS8 or a bit better). They make the larger Landslide, also.

Love the salt here in Hawaii. It's always with my at the beach (weekly) . Sometimes forget it in my pocket when I go in the water, but it still looks good as new. I'd highly recommend it,

I use a Cold Steel Kudu. It's rust resistant, good for food and cheap as hell if it gets damaged/needs to be disposed of for whatever reason.

Spyderco Dragonfly 2 Salt (H-1 steel, yellow handle, plain edge). I love the size, the weight, the corrosion resistance and the wire clip. I keep it clipped to my swim trunks the entire time I'm at the beach, in and out of the water. I also am usually in some backwater creek fishing or throwing a cast net and it's with me then too.
