What is your church knife?

If only some of those altar boys had knives on them, there would be a lot less Tom foolery. Am I right? Am I right?

When wearing a suit, then it's a SAK Minichamp in the pocket. Clipping a knife to a suit pants pocket is not cool, IMO, and doesn't do much for the life of the suit. When wearing regular slacks it's normal EDC, which right now is a BM 940 clipped on the right rear pocket. Here in Texas, just about everone carries a knife clipped to a pocket.

It has absolutely NOTHING to do with what I think a knife should be used for,and where I did I say that the puopose of a knife is to cut someone?

Rednek---read the "quote" that you posted of his quote---in there he never said you said a knife is to cut someone, he said "if a person thinks a knife is to cut someone" in fact "kickplate69" was quite polite and even said "good for you" in regards to you having your opinion:)

My view is I don't think god judges us in a negative way for bringing/carrying a knife to church it's more importantly how we treat our fellow man---again my opinion only:)

now back on topic---for me it's usually a small slippie, like my Case yeller peanut or Case redbone serpentine jack:thumbup:

I carry a Vic Climber almost everywhere I go. And some sort of smaller locking folder. My church is pretty casual, so I dress in whatever is appropriate for the weather. I do tend to downsize whatever folder I'm carrying.

At one point I tried taking fixed blades to church. The Pastor didn't like it, neither did the "old" members who had been around forever.

I usually use a Spyderco Military and some smaller folder when I go to church.

Someday I hope to make a really fancy sheath for a home made fixed blade. For some reason people are much more receptive of a knife if you're the one who made it.

Camillus Heat (not showing)
Leatherman Micra on keys for utility needs
But I also carry a concealed pistol.
I'm not paranoid.
I'm well trained and know alot about what is taking place in my community. I understand the response times of law enforcement in my community.
WHEN SECONDS COUNT, THE POLICE ARE JUST MINUTES AWAY .

For me personally, church isnt the place to be totin a knife, but thats just me.To each their own on that.

Some subscribe to the theory 'The Lord helps them that help themselves".

Two weeks ago after a friend's funeral at a small rural church, the folks who had brought food for the mourners forgot to bring a sharp knife to cut up the roast chicken. My Spyderco resiliance came in real handy.

This may add fuel to the argument, but I know several LEOs that advise carry what you carry everyday (especially including concealed firearms) so as not to make your church a "defenseless victim zone".

No disrespect but bad things happen anywhere so it's best to be prepared. I'm sure God will understand. The way things are these days, I'm never unarmed. I follow the motto "it's better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it".

Dont a lot of us find our self doing minor chores around the church after the service? Why wouldnt a knife help us maintain the church. Either open or cut up boxes, fix the restroom paper town dispenser,etc.. Most churches need the men/women of the congregation to volunteer and help out. I have even brought my Stihl chainsaw to church to clean up storm damage before the service.

The Earth is Gods house and I take a knife everywhere in it, the church is a place for like minded men to worship... no reason to not take a knife. Shame upon those whom only obey in church...

I don't go to church, but if I did, I'd take my ZT 0200...Ya never know when or where ya might have to fight-off a group of zombies.:D.:D.

Same knife I take everywhere else...my small Sebenza.

Our pastor (who is also a rancher) usually has a Buck 110 on his belt under his suit coat. But it's a small town church that's been sitting on the same spot since 1839 (our current building is new, though...built in 1901 :) ).

It's mostly farmers, ranchers and small business owners in the congregation and the average age of the congregation is north of 60 years, so I'd be surprised if there was any man without a knife on Sunday mornings. Even my wife has a ZT0301 in her Sunday school bag for helping the kids with their projects. Heck, 3/4 of the vehicles in the parking lot have a rifle hanging in the back window.
