What is your church knife?

Whatever my current edc is. Took a ZT0350 last week. This week it will be my new Benchmade 755MPR.

My "formal" knife is a little Case red-jigged-bone Stockman my dad gave me back in the 90's.

On most Sundays, I'm like WA Martin - our church isn't that formal most of the time, so I have at least a Spyderco stainless Native and a Leatherman Micra on me. (My Leatherman Surge is in the toolbox in the car, which comes out about twice a year at church, especially at our outdoor services.)

We help set up for service on some Sundays, and occasionally we are called in to help with the children's ministry classes. The scissors on my Micra come in handy almost every Sunday (especially when helping kids with crafts), and I use the Native for everything from opening packages cutting tape & twine, etc. Some of the folks know I have a knife, and I'm asked for it occasionally. (I've given some of them knives, too.)

I'll never carry a knife to church for defensive purposes. We have enough big (read: HUGE) guys that I doubt anything will happen.

I wear my Sam Stoner 5160 EDC Bowie. I'm serious.

I often carry a Becker Eskabar and a Victorinox Farmer to church, same knives I carry every day. But sometimes, like to a wedding when I may wear dress pants instead of jeans and a knife handle and tan paracord sticking out of your pocket might look out of place, I carry a Kershaw Skyline instead of the Eskabar.

I carry my ZT301 or umnumzaan but have even toted along a custom Mike Irie TS-5 with false top edge when helping do various chores afterwards.

The Buck Hoodlum come in reel reel handy iffn we needs to kill one of the rattlers.

Same EDC knife for church Izula in a pocket sheath or an XM-18. Military resides in my right jacket upper pocket in the winter which conceals the top of the knife perfectly.

I don't think about it as "what should I carry for church?" These are part of my daily attire and accoutrements.

Our church isn't real formal so I've often got a buck 110 on my waist along with my leatherman supertool.

Our church isn't real formal either. I used to carry a 110 and a Leatherman to church and no eyebrows were raised about it. One of my pastors led a marine rifle company in 'Nam in the 60's and a lot of our folks are construction workers and just working folks. So a clean pair of jeans is acceptable Sunday wear. As is common, the younger guys and gals dress nicer than the ...uh...more mature... folk.

These days I carry whatever I'm carrying that day. Usually some sort of slipjoint in my front pocket and a one-hander in my back pocket.

Usually just my Izula which is always neck carried and a SAK signature lite which is always on my keychain. I tried to carry some smaller traditional slip joints but they always slide out of my pocket.

Used to be a small micarta Sebbie. Lately, though, I've been carryin' small FBs, so it'll be an Izzy or a smal BRKT in a pocket sheath.

Most of the guys in our church carry some kind of knife every day, everywhere. Lots of the ladies do, too. We're in north GA in a kinda rural area, and a lot of the folks here do agricultural stuff either as a living or a hobby. Knives are just daily tools to us, not weapons. We do most of the maintenance work at our church, inside and outside, so there's always something that needs to be cut.

I generally carry what I have on me when I'm working out and about. Our pastor liked my mini-Griptilian so much he's ordering one for himself. We have a lot of outdoorsmen and many admire a good knife.
