What is your church knife?

:p

Definately China made crap...

I never go for myself, sadly most times I walk in to a church is to say good bye to one of my fallen friends (which happens way to often). My Winkler belt knife is what I wear on my belt when in uniform.

One time two little boys were staring at it trough the sermon, I looked at them towards the end and pulled it out and handed it to the smaller one. The look on his face was priceless. The look on one of the nuns’ faces was not that good.

Most times it’s the gun they stare at.

I carry a Buck 303 that my dad gave me when I was a kid. As soon as I feel like he won't lose it, I'll be giving it to my kid. If we went to church, that's what would be in my pocket.

I usually carry a traditional slip joint like a GEC or Case of some sort but there have been plenty of times were I've carried my CRK large 21 sebenza.

And Jesus said, "if you don’t have a sword, sell your cloak and buy one."

Dont know if this has been said but I have many "church knives". Among those are my Ka-Bar new generation strapped on my belt, HAK in my underwear, a Khurki on my ankle ,and a pencil...a sharp pencil always in my HAND becasue you never know when the Zombie Apocalypse will happen and God will understand. :D Now Church Gun thread, that will be intersting.

Please excuse my ignorance, but when you say church knife,do you mean actually taking a knife to church,or is a church knife a particular design or style of knife.I ask because I couldnt immagine walking into church on a Sunday morning with knives on my belt or buldging from my pockets. For me personally, church isnt the place to be totin a knife, but thats just me.To each their own on that.
Why shouldn't I be carrying a knife in church? Or... 3 knives? And another 2 in my backpack?
I would understand it if you don't like the idea of weapons in church but - you're referring to knives in general - seriously, why?
Regarding weapons: my knives are tools - and I have no intentions to use them as weapons. Plus there are quite a few WAY larger knives in the kitchen of the church...
You could ask God for his opinion on self defence though...

@ topic:
The younger adults of our church cook together after the service (btw - a great ''tradition'' ;)) and I prefer to use my own EDC knives for that - and most of the others prefer my knives to the other kitchen knives too so sometimes I even put another one into my backpack in addition to the ones I'm already carrying (the most obvious a BM710HS or Alias I clipped to my pocket).

What is your church knife?

I expect the OP may have been looking for classier, perhaps smaller, more sheeple friendly knives? I attend church, not every Sunday but a lot. I don't have any of the beautiful little slipjoints that I've seen posted in threads.

I do insure that whatever I'm carrying is very unobtrusive as I don't want to cause any of the members at church to be upset by seeing the handle of an X-Large Espada, Rajah 1 or as some have said machetes strapped on my person.

Let's see some fancy pics guys. I'll go first!

Here's one that's seen Church time, unclipped in the pocket:

This bad boy, clipped and concealed by a buttoned flap on an over-coat pocket, making it invisible:

And this one that rides so low in tip-up that no one has ever noticed the little black tip that shows:

I don't own any fancy knives so here's what I carry to Church. Mostly it's just the Izula though. My constant companion. Today the last can of soda had the tab pull right off the can but the little Izzy made short work of opening it. I just used it again to open a serving of mini-carrot sticks, packaged in a stubborn plastic bag that non-knifers use their teeth to rip apart. I think my 3 Izulas see more use than any other knives I own. :D

When the parish and I are sitting around the fire in our goat leggings and face paint you never know when someones gonna come up behind you in the dark so you better have SOMETHING on you. Between the firelight and chanting I am often torn between coated and uncoated blades. Most everyone there is carrying some form of knife so after our sacrifices we can share in the communal pig roast to support people against goodness and normalcy. I prefer my loveless big bear as it has plenty of reach to get into the body of the pig and its great for dispatching our "sacrifices". However when the mood suites me I will also have a Strider SMF clipped to my chaps.

So I definatley prefer a larger blade. Some lambs carry POS chinese rambo knock offs or no-name steel knives. I try to tell my flock that when they die a warriors death do they really want to walk down Odins Hall to Valhalla with an inferior blade? Would they dare to look at Thor and Frey and say they belong when the weapon they chose to have on them is worthless and unproven? NO! So I encourage all of my lambs to carry a righteous bitching piece of steel that will last with them in the afterlife. Besides what pillager would strike fear into the hearts of non-believers with a Dale Earnhardt $3 gas station folder? Not very many.

So I say unto you all that when you are going to give thanks and worship, remember to bring the best. We burry you with what you have on you, so keep the best on you and you will have the best forever and ever. What will the runestones say when you depart this world?

ps: I am pentacostal, just thought this was too good to pass up:p

Ha, I think I know that church. Pass it on my way to work :D

I carry a Kershaw shallot, this knife I made, and a small friction folder I made down in my pocket. But those are what I carry all the time, not just at church.

P.S. the one week a month when I'm in childrens church playing with two year olds I don't wear them :p

I just bought a Benchmade 530 for pocket time in church or birthday parties and such. Times when I don't want a bulkier knife in my pocket just out of comfort. To me, a knife is a tool first and foremost and it's only a useful one if you have it when you need it.

If I have pants with the right pockets, I would have my Paramilitary or Para 2 on me no matter where I'm at. (Unless at the airport...)

junglas!

OK, seriously I used to be a big Church goer. But we have fallen away somewhat in the last few years. I used to carry a simple Buck gent knife.

I've taken everything from folders to my RAT 3 to balis. My church is incredibly laid back and most of the people there actually appreciate my fascination with knives.

My Chainsaw is a tool, but I dont haul it to church.:D

I always leave my sword in the porch, when I go to church of late I have been carrying a BlackHawk Kalista.

I carry whatever I pick up in the morning. One of the kids I lead in the children's ministry came out for breakfast with my wife and I after the service back in late January. They were using their plastic knives to cut up their breakfast, I used my TNT to slice up my sausages. Liam asks why I have a knife on my, of course I told him exactly for situations like this. Too many people only see a knife as a weapon because that's how society at large portrays them. Now I have to move on, need to decide which blade to carry tomorrow morning.
