I sent emails to everyone who said they wanted an Arm.
If I missed you please let me know. Thanks everyone.:D

I had to send another email to everyone to get your mailing address for shipping. If I missed you or sent you 2 emails I apologize. I have multiple email addresses for a few people (i think) so I might have emailed some of you twice requesting payment. If I did, Im sorry. :o

I can still accomodate anyone else who is interested in buying the arm. I will place the initial order for as many as I pre sell so If you are interested please email me.:D

Michael,

please keep us posted. It'll somewhat alleviate anxiety caused by "can't wait to get a new toy" syndrome. :)

I can't wait until Butch gets his so I can test drive it :)

I also want to be able to check it out beforehand and see if I could easily adapt my homebrew KMG to use "the arm"...

Thanks for all the hard work Michael...

I want one also, but I've called you with a question first relating to a possible issue with my set up so lets talk before I say for sure.

Otherwise it looks like a go for me. This is about the best table option I've seen. Reminds me of the double articulating head rest for dental chairs the way it would manipulate for the dentist to any position needed. You have a real winner here. I just hope it will go on my machine.

Good speaking with you on the phone Mike. I enjoyed meeting you and hearing about the development of this, 'gettin' old shaky hands fixer' you came up with :D .. I'm in for one for sure. Money and emails sent.

Thanks

.....'gettin' old shaky hands fixer' you came up with .....

Man, ain't that the truth. I cannot grind like I used to years ago and this helps a bunch.

Thanks, again, Michael.

There is no problem fitting this to any KMG made. Mike Fitzgerald has one of the first ones made and it bolted right up on his. What has to be done first is the existing reciever has to be unbolted and the left side is reattached to the right side and the right side is reattached to the left side. This positions the handle on the right side and makes room for the second reciever (included with the MAP Arm) to be mounted.

You will have no problem mounting this on your new grinder when you get it.

I actually like having that handle on the right side more than on the left. Makes belt changes easier for me.

Actually it makes more sense to have it on the right side unless you are left handed IMO.

Just thought I would share a close up of the little machined oval that Michael put in my arm.... nothing like a little pride in your tools:thumbup: :D

It came out pretty nice... layed 3 coats of clear hard acrylic nail polish on it to it would be protected from all the crude flying around....

Also had a fellow forging enthusiast come over to take a look at the arm on Thursday.... (I think we're the only 2 on Oahu  :D )... he was pretty impressed and ordered one after seeing and playing with it!... his comment was that seeing it in the pictures was one thing.... seeing it and playing with it was a whole other experience !.... the versatility and rock solid construction jumped out at him and he had to have one!... ;) He got his order in already....

Working on some ideas to mount this for my Bader.... should be very easy.... this tool can be adapted to anything with a little creative thinking... :D

I think everyone who ordered one will be very very happy with it and those that waited ... get over to someone's shop who has one and you'll be happy that you did !!!!! JMHO...

I placed the order today for the parts for the MAP Arm and due to the response I got I ordered 20 more than I have orders for. That means I still have 20 available.

So, to review:

I can still accomodate anyone else who is interested in buying the MAP Arm. I placed the initial order for 20 extra MAP Arms so please see my wedsite for more details and payment information.:D
