What is your "dress up" knife?

Came in late, but since I don't have many Spydies, amongst these: GB1, Endura SB, Endura 4 SG, Black Tenacious, Resilience, I guess GB1 :D.

Depends on the occasion and circumstances before and after it for me...I rotate between:

-GB1
-Caly 3.5 SB
-Cruwear Millie
-Sage 2
-ZDP Endura
-Other Non-Spydies

I'm in suit and tie at least twice a week. I used to try to be 'low-key' and carry slim but I've found, at least in my case, that no-one really pays any attention or raises any eyebrows no matter what I carry. And, on the off chance I find myself in a situation where they would/might, I always carry my SE Ladybug Hawkbill aka 'the Ladyhawk' which is universally found to be cute by all. :D

I usually carry a Caly 3 ZDP-189

or a Chaparral Carbon Fiber

Or a Dragonfly Nishijin
No good picture.

I really wish they would make the Caly CF and Chaparral CF with solid clips instead of the wire!!

It has been a long time since I tried them, so maybe I should pick one up and give it a go....

What is the difference between the Caly and Chaparral? They both look very very similar? Also what is the marking on the blade?

I will add a SS Dragonfly and the Ti Pingo to the discussion. I would never have purchased the SS Dfly but it was a gift. I couldn't be happier with the knife. Makes the Dfly a tank. The Ti Pingo classes up a slipjoint that is easily one of Spyderco's most underrated designs. I use my FRN Pingo like a rented mule and it loves the attention

I have a few dress knives but I never dress up. I am kind of a scrub. A little bit redneck and a little bit hippie I guess. ;) Weddings, funerals, court appearances and job interviews are about the only reasons I put on my one nice shirt. :D

I wouldn't think twice about carrying any of these if I were to dress up. At the last wedding I went to I carried my pair of fluted Ti goodness.

Fluted Ti Native
Fluted Ti Military
CF Damascus Caly3
CF Chaparral
Des Horn
Sage3
Sage4
CF Balance
"R" Nishijin
Nishijin Cricket

I got this Kiwi about 10 years ago and it's been a great little knife for times when I'm not wearing jeans.

Mine is an Al Mar Sportsman, but my shabbat knife was a green lum chinese and is now a walker lightweight.

Nothing has been able to kick the Positron out of my pocket since I got it. Has a classy look to it imo.

Not a great picture but here's the other side (It's sitting on a Manix2 LW for size comparison). If you'd like I can take some better pictures in the daylight tomorrow for you from multiple angles. I have 43 other Spydercos so if there's a model you'd like comparison shots with I might be able to oblige. I just recently installed a blue anodized deep carry titanium clip on mine.

The Domino's cutting edge looks to be about a 1/4" longer than the Manix in this pic.

Is that accurate?

On topic. I've carried my Street Beat to a wedding before. Under my jacket but over my vest on the belt if I recall correctly. As for folders, the only Spyderco I have is a Stretch. I don't reach for it on dressy occasions though.

Sage 1, baby! Always classy, always useful. My new favorite EDC folder (okay, tied for favorite...will never get rid of my PM2). The knife is dressier than I'll ever be.
That is a great dress up knife. Strong enough to be useful in most situations and light, as well as attractive. Don t forget the great value price. Excellent fit and finish.

The wire clip is extremely functional and helps with the light weight..Although some may disagree, I think it looks fine.

loving the replies - thank you all so far!

Full Flat - thanks! Will look for those if I can't source an original!
