What is your "dress up" knife?

I've got about 16 Spydercos and love 'em all, but don't think of any of them as first-call dress-up knives. They all sit nice and flat in pocket, but have a more aggressive look with their broad blades and Spyder-holes. I tend to thinner blades and something more discrete to pull out of pocket in a dressier situation, so I go with my small cocbolo Sebenza or snakewood Mnandi in a leather sleeve or maybe a BM 940 or 943--both in CF--clipped in. I guess if I went Spyderco it would be one of my Sages--I've got all 5 including the two versions of the 3. The 1 and 2 are tight little packages and the 4 is a very pretty knife. I personally like the wire clips and they carry nice and deep for a more low-key look.

If it's Spydercos I'm picking from it's one of these...

Caly 3.5 ZDP or Sage 2.

I did however carry a Delica to my sister's wedding because I just felt like it.

Anyone ever consider a Cara Cara 2 or a Robin2 in Stainless?

Perhaps a Meadowlark stainless is more fitting. Cara Cara will be too large, Robin too small.
Plain SS handle is easily scratched & will not look dressy very soon. GB's CF is known to not show any wear mark even carried and used.

I do prefer CF, my GB2 is a big more easy to carry than the original (doesn't mean I think it's better) but it might fit the bill quite nicely. But also want something a little smaller as well :-)

Well I'm really late to this party. But here's a couple of my "dress up" Spyders. The largest of them is the Blue Weave Dom. I love that knife to death. May add a GB2 soon, but the Domino is heavy duty enough for most of my tasks, and oh-so good looking.

The Chaparral and Positron are very similar in weight, but the Chap is much thinner. If thin is in, it's the Chap, otherwise the Positron flipper action is fun to play with. And the ultra smooth CF of the Positron works great as a worry stone if you simply want something to fondle. :)

I threw the Dragonfly in there just because of size and weight. Granted the bright yellow Salt is not the most classy (many other colors available), but it can be dropped just about anywhere and not be noticed. And like the Chaparral, the size does not draw attention when in use.

When I first saw the new wire clips I really disliked the looks. But mostly because of previous bias of what "sturdy" should look like. But after using them, I think they are my absolute favorite. They work as expected, do not cut up pockets even with heavy use, and don't draw attention (look at me, I'm carrying a big freaking knife!).

Anyway......here da pic.

Add: should mention that if I could ever get myself to double the cost of my PM2 by adding some custom burl wood scales, that would definitely be a regular dress up knife.

May as well add blade shapes too. Sometimes that matters. The DF is the only non-FFG, and the Positron is the only non leaf shape (of these four anyway).

If I'm dressed up, I'm usually reaching for my Chaparral 1 or my Sage 1. I really dig the CF scales and the black wire clips.

Actually only 2 "dress up" knives : Caly 3 CF and SS Dragonfly.

Hopefully more to come with custom :)
