What is your latest knife purchase?

Just picked up the Spyderco Military in 440V for myself and a small Benchmade Griptilian in the same steel for my son. He is going off to college and I am trying to get him away from carrying some of the more tactical looking knives we have. You worry about them when they are away. Don't want him in trouble with the school or the local police but don't want him knifeless either.

These forums are going to ruin me. Every time I read about something or other, I just have to get it. But,it keeps me out of bars and someday my son will have a very nice knive and gun collection.
 
Actually they are different steel, yours is 440v, the minigriptilian is 440c. Dam, I can't believe I notice things like this now, thanks Bladeforums!:rolleyes:
 
For my latest purchase I finally broke down and got my first custom, a Kit Carson Model 16. After almost two weeks I still can't believe how good it feels in my hand. It's a perfect fit.

Top one is a Combat Grade Satin Jack in 3/16" INFI steel and Camoflage micarta handles, bottom one is a Zero Tolerance Satin Jack in 1/4" INFI, with tan micarta:

The last knife I bought was a Schatt & Morgan Swaybelly Trapper in ats-34 steel. It has red, worm-groove bone scales and awesome half-stops.
 
Frankie, Those busse's are kick ass! Im thinking a badger attack 3 & a zippo classic chrome would be my ticket to nirvana. Anyone agree?

Greco Falcon - wanted a strong one hand opening user for yard and range work.

Used it - very effective (kind of cool looking too).

Anders,got it from http://www.cqcknives.com/default.htm.
Very, very friendly people there. Service could not been better.
Though, shipping was 25 USD. Delivery about three-four days.
