What is your latest knife purchase?

My most recent purchase is one of them HUGE Cuda Maxx folders. I was thinking it would be the largest folder that one could legally tote around here in Texas.

After taking a look at its awesome size, I thought I better check with the guru of knife laws (Bernard Levine -- nice fellow)...and it seems that its legality may be questionable here in Texas.

I thought it may be because the blade has a Bowie shape to it; however, Bernard looked at the situation in great detail and noted that the Bowie shaped blade, centered point, and hand-protecting grip would probably make it fall under the category of "dagger" here in TX (and thus not legal to carry!) :-(

I still like it a bunch!

Been busy these last couple of weeks:

Elishewitz King
Elishewitz Cortex
Grohmann Flat Ground Survival
Spyderco Walker Almite
AG Russell Integral Sting

Just ordered a LYNN GRIFFIRH MNK-1 FROM WEIDEMAN:KNIVES today, couldnt resiste the temptation. Looking foward too its arrival I LOVE FIXEDBLADE KNIVES, will be a collectors item as i understand they arnt made any more. D

I almost hate to say this, but I have four customs on order: Tom Mayo, two custom lefty Crawfords and a Brian Tighe. The Tighe is a limited edition, so is the Tom Mayo. I will definitely keep the Crawfords, as they're made for southpaw; the other two I will check out and see if they are keepers. I figure a good knife, whether it meets my needs or not, can always go in the For Sale area and get picked up pretty quick.

I originally thought that by the time they'd be made, the credit card bill would come in each month with maybe one knife on it, one for each month. Now, I am coming to understand that up to three knives may come in within one billing period!

Oh, man. Need to start saving, fast.

My last knife purchase was a R.J. Martin Pathfinder from Les Robertson. Payment sent today :D

Of course there is also the incoming blades that I have on order; Matt Lamey bowie, R.W. Clark 7" Camp/Fighter, Neil Blackwood small Hybrid, Swamp Rat Battle Rat, Busse Badger Attack 3 and a Scott Cook Lochsa folder. Gonna be a sweet summer

I on the other hand picked up an AMK A/F today...serrated! "Woohoo"

Now, if I can only wait the weeks journey for it to make it here from Israel...lol

Frankie, Those busse's are kick ass! Im thinking a badger attack 3 & a zippo classic chrome would be my ticket to nirvana. Anyone agree?

I don't know about the lighter, but the BA3 sounds like an excellent choice. :D :D

Yeah the lighter is my other quest. I smoke like a feind and am on a similar quest of the holy grail of lighters..........I keep comin back to zippo.
I love that badger attack 3 but wish it was just a bit smaller yet, almost neck knife sized but with those kick ass Nukarta slabs. O well, I'll keep watching for Busse to make one.:grumpy:

Newest purchase is a Wenger serrated Backpacker.
I was teaching my nephews how to make slig-shots and I had to get my Gerber Pro-Scout multitool out of my truck to use its saw.
After that I decided I needed to carry a SAK with a woodsaw for a while.
My Victorinox Camper is just alittle too long for comfortable pocket carry, and my Wenger Handyman is just alittle to thick, so I searched around and discoverd the Backpacker.
It's nearly a perfect fit in the pocket and has just the right compliment of tools.
And my Victorinox-Wenger SAK collection grows, and grows, and grows...

Good luck,
Allen.

I recently went up to Smoky Mountain Knife Works and bought three case doctors knives and a fixed blade Case. Also bought a antique knife by Case. Got one of those talonite Cudas. That thing is tough.

Last Friday I got a two blade stag trapper made by RO Easler. About four and half inchs closed. Quite a handful when opened. Bought it from Nordic.

It's a race to see whether the Peter Marker Lefty that I bought from a forumite arrives before or after the Benchmade carbon fiber 705 KOTM (May 2000) that I scored on eBay. Anticipation. - Lee

I just got back from a gun show and sold a few knives. I scored on a black blade SERE 2K.

Charles Marlowe large framelock - hoping this one will solve the EDC
problem. Just waiting for it to arrive.
Traded for and received lately a Craig Cramerer fixed blade (this one is a keeper ) and an RW Clark model 3

My most recent purchases are on the way. I ordered 5 CRKT large plain edged Mirages. At less than $10.00 ea. I should've bought more. It's a great knife for the $$$. They make good gifts.
I've also got another BM710 coming. This time It's the BT version.

Since I posted last month, my BK 9 Combat Bowie came in (hefty!) as did my new Spyderco Ayoob. Waiting on a Spyderco Calypso Jr.

I just got A Pre WWII Puma fixed blade, Stag handle nice guard also. It suprises me how great this little knife feels in hand, literally an extension of ones body.

Picked up a slightly used DH Russell #1 Canadian Belt Knife in a trade and got a Strider GB last week. The GB is my first Strider, but probably won't be my last. Very impressive.
