you will have to find the exact pitch and length of your threads and head shape but if you go hereQuestion for y'all folding knife folks. I have Pena X-series Trapper. I need another small screw. I may or may not have lost one, and/or don't want to use the pocket clip and with out the clip, those screws are too long. Anyone have experience with finding screws for that specific knife, or recommendations on where to look? I have emailed the store I purchased it from, they said not replacement screws on their end and recommended I email Enrique Pena directly. I did that, and awaiting a reply. I also emailed Reate as they "manufacture" that specific knife.
Best I can tell it is:
Torx8, button head, about 3.9mm wide, and 2mm long thread, with thread being 2mm wide.
Thanks~

I've scoured the internet. I might has nailed down some non torx head screws that should fit the bill. I'll update when I have them and try'em out. That will be tricky. Chinese made knife so most likely metric, and you measured M2. Tricky, because M2 Torx screws are normally T6.
So you can:
- either switch to T6, or Allen, or similar and replace other matching screws for cosmetics if you need
- or shorten the original screw; easier than you think, you can just use a sharpening stone, for instance
How are you liking this one? I've been on the fence over it for awhile now. I don't typically like the traditional trapper setup but that "spey" blade looks more useful than the typical form.
I’m a fan of trapper knives but compared to others, I like this one a lot. The blades are both right at 3” of cutting edge so the blade to handle ratio (4” closed) is great and I like the extra weight the rear bolster provides as well. Its one of the few slipjoints I own with a cam-tang so that’s something else I’m enjoying, it’s smoothing out nicely and the action is definitely getting more crisp.
Since you’re familiar with GEC, the frame and blades are on the narrow side of things like the 82 or similar 4” stockmans and the 48 trappers, it’s a pretty sleek feeling knife in the hand.
Well...let's be honest. How much of a push do you really require...?You might have sold me on it - that all sounds great.

I’m very happy with my decision, its one of the nicest fit and finished Case/Bose knives I’ve purchased, I was talking with Jason Ritchie (signal prick) about Case/Bose patterns and he said the same thing. I’m not sure if CJ still has that brown bone version available but id make an offer for it, even with that pivot pin showing on the one side of the bolster.
