What kind of folder do you carry?

5x the V’s :)

Completely agree. Sounds like I need to do more research into the history of these two.
Fwiw I’ve owned many of both. There are some things to like about Striders but I think Hinderers, especially recent ones, are better folding knives in general. That said they aren’t particularly great cutters and the customer service is lacking. If I was in the market for another knife in that price range and general style I’d look for a Demko or a CRK.

You gotta keep your bases covered...

Don't have an actual Hinderer, but I really like my Zero Tolerance ZT0562BLK. It's become my backwoods folder for the past few years. Strong blade, yet still slices well, and no complaints about ZT's quality (their Emerson collaboration is a lot nicer than the 2 Emersons I have).

Also have a Demko AD20 and AD20.5. The AD20 is a strong contender for taking the ZT"s spot. I really like ambidextrous locks that can be operated/closed 1-handed, especially while keeping my fingers out of the way of the blade, and the Shark lock is great at that.

Mini Grip. Have had this for about 15 years and keeps making its way back to my pocket. Blade geometry makes it simple even for me to sharpen and disappears in my pocket. Been using it at my PT CPK fund job and while the handle is a little short for my mitts, it’s comfortable and hasn’t been an issue.

Funny - I recently re-discovered my old Mini-Grip that is at least 12 years old and probably more. Still going strong, still razor sharp. Threw a Lynch deep pocket ti carry clip on it. I'm pretty simple and pragmatic in my folder needs (I'd rather save the money for good fixed blades), and the Mini-grips are just a solid, no-nonsense EDC that work.

and I got this Mini-Presidio CF-Elite earlier this year and been impressed by it as well. It's finding its way into my pocket a lot these days.

That MP is very nice, may look into one as well.
Will get one of those Lynch clips if they’re available.
Thanks

A few months ago I thought I would get my first CRK and started looking for a particular configuration. It turns out that these aren't like CPK boot daggers that you can just buy on a whim. This isn't the configuration I'm looking for, but I picked it up to get my feet wet.
