How are you liking it so far? Had any chance to test the Magnacut yet?

I'm working up to it. Those first scratches are the hardest.

I've been wearing out my thumb breaking it in for the most part...it's pretty good at the moment, but doesn't compare to my "Regular" from 1998 in smoothness. That's okay, it has its own character.

Throwback Thursday with an old school Blackie Collins/Benchmark Sidewinder...this is actually really similar to the Ratworx MRX mechanism that would come decades later, just using cable wrapped around the pivot instead of a chain wrapped around the tang🤯 Blackie Collins was WAY ahead of his time😎

Flipper Friday with a Freeman 451 buttonlock...this was the first buttonlock flipper I came across years ago, the action was mind-blowing at the time🤯 Also, I've realized I don't have many green knives😂
Happy St. Patrick's day!🍀

Still haven't done any work with it yet, but in spending more time with it yesterday, I noticed that CRK had left a burr on both the right side of the blade (in front of the "sharpening choil"), and along the right side of the tanto tip.

Responded very well to stropping on 1 micron diamond on basswood...followed by a few strokes on bare kangaroo leather. (The stropping on the 'roo leather wasn't necessary and still left most of the nice aggressive edge from the diamond.)

I can see myself maintaining this knife with just a combination of diamond emulsion (on basswood), and bare leather stropping for a while until it will eventually need something more.

MagnaCut seems to respond well to stropping and the burr was not a pain in the ass to remove.

Mit-e Monday with a Kershaw Offset, "Metal injection technology -with an edge" was Kershaw's venture into metal injection molded blades. It was a neat concept that would've allowed crazy blade shapes to be produced very easily, something else that occurred to me is that being "cast 440c" it might be possible to create a dendritic structure like David Boye's work🤔

This one just landed this afternoon. Can't wait to try out this 15V from Spyderco. Customized heat treat by our very own Big Brown Bear DeadboxHero DeadboxHero . 👍 Reports are pretty amazing! 😎

Should have ZERO issues with this candy-coated lead chain! 🤣
Got mine the other day too. Should be interesting to see how it performs. I'm hoping it's not too much of a headache to sharpen.
