Chip, if “wow !” was the type of statement that should be used multiple times, I’d say it 50 more times ! Floating lock bar, cool. Marfione level handle geometry and detail…also cool. But, ….my goodness !!! That polish on the blade’s compound and hollow grind !?!?!? It’s exquisite !!! WOW , infinite times !!!

It’s my custom Christmas lights hamon brother! It is S35vn. I thought about sending it in for magnacut but it’d be about $250 I think now because they charge an extra $100 for a polished blade now!! I miss the good old days when the scales and blade were still polished like this!

Hey D, it’s the Edge Pro Bevel Tech. I just got it and assembled it today. After watching a few videos and assembling it, I have no doubt that it’s a significant improvement on the Edge Pro Apex that it’s replacing.

The weighted base, smoother and longer draw on the thicker rod, numbered angle markings, , 3 point blade guide, and base angle adjustments are all upgrades. I’m excited to try it out this weekend and make use of these added features.

I ordered some diamond stones and an angle cube w/ the kit which are new to me, as well. The entire set-up cost about as much as a Satin Hollow Ground UF2 but I expect it will be well worth it. I’ll post more in the CPK sharpening thread and gear thread after trying it out.
