• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

What kind of folder do you carry?

I’m carrying my Emerson opener Endura at work tonight.;)

That copper SR2 is looking nice.

Absolutely blown away with this thing...jaw droppingly perfect:D
Here's the patent, it's really damn nifty;) (you'll probably nerd out with me on it @Nathan the Machinist )
Scott makes some incredible knives for sure. He, however, is not the only maker who uses the Sawby self-lock. I have a Bailey Bradshaw slipjoint-sized pocket knife with arguably some of the best stag I have ever seen on any knife that has the Sawby self-lock. It is a very cool knife. I'm not sure why the Sawby self-lock has not become more popular given how rock solid it is.

why would you ever consider letting that go? It’s gorgeous!

It is a good looking knife but I guess I am just used to flat wide knives like the xm-18. This is more like a dagger.... the fit and finish is excellent, absolutely no play what so ever and the blade is sharp as all hell, great grind too.

While trolling the GD earlier this AM, I came across this slip joint to which existence, I was completely oblivious of. I went ahead and pulled the proverbial trigger as my first 2020 knife purchase (therefore goes outta window the resolution to remaining frugal on knives!). More than this knife itself, I wanted to see and feel the the ingenious retracting clip system.

FWIW: I used to be infatuated with the CRK Impinda for a while but the lack of easy availability plus the price tag go of $450 retail if lucky to find one were both prohibitive to me. The LionSteel Thrill in Ti plus M390 may very well be a poorer man's substitute ($200 for Ti, $120 for aluminum scales - scales avail in multitude of colors) for a higher end slip joint such as the Impinda. I dunno, we shall see but that's my excuse! What's yours?
