What kind of folder do you carry?

^ welp NVM as I apparently hexed myself! My coconspirator and partner in that crime just texted to alert me that our clever-by-half orders were cancelled without any notifications or explanations. Those who already know, know ;)

Assuming that you are referring to a BM coupon code, I'm not sure why you thought it was a crime.
I have carried one of their models since 2000 as a cheap beater and seeing the discount code I thought I might update.
I haven't kept track of all their new models, so I spent 20 minutes figuring out what to get.
My item was reg $140 and the discount brought it below the free shipping threshold, so I was billed $74 including shipping.
I see them for sale today at $119 (free shipping), so my discount wasn't outrageous.
They took my payment and I received a confirmation email, but now the status of my order is "cancelled".
(If I order pizza at a national chain I will try a few coupon codes. If it is accepted and my payment processed, then I generally expect my pizza).
I think it is pretty poor form for them to back out of the transaction.

I have emailed for clarification, but assuming that they have wasted my time, I will certainly never buy from them again.
 
Eh, I heard it was a code for Benchmade Academy, which is a program to let certain workers get knives for around 60% off once or twice a year. Code wasn't supposed to be leaked. It's not as if Benchmade sent out an ad with the code in it. Our orders got canceled because we don't work for affiliated dealers and aren't in the program. It would've been more upstanding for them to send an email explaining this and notifying people that the orders were canceled, they still might do that, whatever. I didn't really expect them to fulfill these, would've been kinda cool but I'm really not mad.

Thanks for all the details. I guess I'm used to these codes being a bit of a free-for-all, whether it's pizza or a new laptop, I look for the best working code.
I'm not mad either, but I'll spend my money elsewhere rather than risk wasting time again.
 
No hard feelings here either. Heck, I am not even that much into folders anymore and double heck, no BM knife has ever made me jump outta my seat!

That said, I keep hearing that this new kid on the block who wants to get into the alligators pit aka the folders market is pretty good. I've hear that his name is something like Nathan Caro-sumptin. I may have to give him a try because I keep hearing that he knows a thing or two :)

Thanks. The knife is a laser and the action on it is among the best of any knife I have ever had. I did a passaround of the knife a few months ago and I would encourage you to read some of the reviews.
