What knife are you expecting to receive or give for Christmas

well there buddy i am gonna give my pal a knifes or two that i have collected over the last month or so. a mtech with a flipper nub and a really nice grail appalacian trail i found at the coop after there sale. he done broke his knife he carry on the tip by tryin to pry the top off the ole mustard jar that we got at the place that sells the kosher stuff. my old lady made us go but it was worth it. but that lid just wouldnt come off. even after he broke the tip off we just still coulndt get it until we figured out it was just a screw top. :o oh well. hes gonna be happy to get a new carry knife or two for christmas. have a good one guys

Probably giving a Southern Grind Spider Monkey(folder) and a Bradford Guardian3 (fixed) in M390.
Not sure...might be a couple of paring knives added. (lots of relatives)
All subject to immediate change ( :) )

The Cabelas Buck Vanguard (Alaskan Guide Series) is a good hunting knife and one I recommend often. I checked it out after it being recommended here on BF and I liked it. It was also (I believe) my very first visit to a Cabelas store.

He's getting to know knives pretty well (wonder why:rolleyes:) When he saw it a month a go he was drooling at the display case. I said "Maybe some day when it goes on sale." It did a week later, so I scored it for him.

As far as the Bravo in 3V goes , It sure is an awesome knife the 5" blade length is perfect for an all-around bush knife.

I'm leaning toward a Bark River Kephart in 3V for a general purpose outdoor knife.... yeah, another one... :D

I got my Cabelas Buck also on sale about two years ago after a Cabelas opened up just north of Atlanta and I was "passing by".

I collect SAK Soldier/Pioneer knives and wanted to add a DAK Soldier model to the set. I have been looking at DAKs for a couple of years and finally found one in good shape for a half way decent price. With PayPal and a fully pegged WAF meter (Wife Acceptance Factor) the knife is on it's way. :D

When I approached my wife about the DAK being part of my X-mas gifts she suggested it be part of my birthday instead.

My 14 yr.old son is getting an S30V Cabelas Buck Vanguard he had his eyes on.:)
Dad ( me) just bought himself an early present :D Two Bark River Bravo 1.25's in 3V

We'll be eating KD for Christmas , but we have steel. :p

lovely, that maybe the best knife for him to handle, not too complicated

I'm giving a Cold Steel Master Hunter in VG-1 San Mai III to my father for Christmas. One he's been wanting for a long time, but just couldn't spend the money.

That is what Christmas is all about! I would do the same because it would be very much appreciated and remembered.

My wife usually gets me one. Last year she got me a Chinese Buck...right on the Buck, wrong on the China. So this year I told her I'd give her a list and where to order them from, hopefully making it easy on her. That way it'll be a surprise, but something I want and not something I'll feel obligated to carry because my wifey got it.

After handling all the Buck, Kershaw, ZT, and Benchmade knives I could handle there was one that I told myself I just had to own sometime. That was the mini-griptilian. I had only handled Ganzo and their Haxis lock so the real axis blew me away. The first time I picked up the mini grip is just was something special. I also really liked the Rexford ZTs but I definitely see myself getting a mini grip sometime in 2017.

I am giving my nephew a Kershaw Camp 14.

He is just getting into hunting and camping and this will give him a way to clear some area for stands or doing light work for firewood, etc.

Hoping the new GB flipper from Spyderco comes out before xmas...a gift I'm planning to get myself. My wife accepts this hobby, but doesn't encourage it!

I am hoping to have the newly hinted at Spyderco PM3 for Xmas. It may be a long shot as I am thinking the Canadian distributors might have to wait a bit for the PM3 to come available.

It might be a long shot for us all. I called Spyderco not to long ago about the PM3 and was told that it will be out this year or the first part of 2017.

I think I want one.

My wife bought me the Medford Praetorian T (blue ano) that I have been drooling over. It's hidden away somewhere waiting for Santa Claus.....I haven't even been able to peek at it.

If all goes as planned with paying my school bills i should be able to get a knife again . I'll probably shoot for a pm2 or a 0450cf. 1 and done for while :)
