What knife are you expecting to receive or give for Christmas

You really can't go far wrong with some version of a SAK; there are so many kinds that it's hard not to be able to tailor one specific model to each of your gift recipients if given a little thought. However, this year I grabbed a bunch of the 2016 "Kokeshi" Classics as stocking stuffers for female friends and relatives both young and not so young. Like the "Blossoms" model of last year, it was just too pretty to ignore. And for anyone born in the Chinese zodiac year of the monkey (1932, 1944, 1956, 1968, 1980, 1992, 2004 & 2016) the "Three Wise Monkeys" Classic isn't a bad choice either.

For my more "hands on" sort of friends who don't mind getting a little dirt under their fingernails now and then, I set aside some Victorinox EvoGrip 18 models in yellow and with the locking main blade. They're fairly cheap right now (well under 30 bucks) and are built on the smaller 3-1/3" Wenger chassis. For those that despised the Wenger-style can opener, you'll be glad to know that Victorinox ditched that style for their own after the assimilation of Wenger.
 
Thinking a pink mini grip for my mother (shes actually been wanting her own knife since IV gotten in to them, who knew :D ), an ESEE 4 for my father for yard/utility work since he already carries my 2550 everyday, and either a 943, 0450cf, or 908bk-1501 for my 17 year old cousin.

Also going to offer a co-worker their choice of one of a mix of about 7 new and used knives :D

And going to give my well loved 5400 serum to another co-worker.

Difficulty deciding on one for cousin. Was originally going to get him a 943 but thought he might like a flipper so I started thinking about the 0450cf, but now Im highly considering the 908bk-1501. He currently doesn't carry a knife everyday, and definitely doesn't own a higher end one and isn't expecting it at all.

After Im done with everyone else I might gift myself a new ESEE Junglas, Surefire EB2, and Petzl headlamp :D

Benchmade 940-2 or perhaps a LionSteel Mini w cocobolo. If I'm lucky, both!
 
Ask my wife to get me a Bradford Guardian 3. My son was wanting a neck knife, so probably going to pick up a Dozier for him.
 
GEC Beer Scout, still deciding which of my kids is going to give it to me.

Always have a few SAKs on hand to give out, they make great stocking stuffers or last minute gifts

My second daughter asked what I wanted for Christmas. To simply make it easy for her ;), I asked for a holiday E-Gift Card from BladeHQ. That will turn into a gift of a Buck 110 folder with a 3.75" blade, carrying a Rosewood handle. It's a beauty pictured on the web site; should be so much better in hand!!

Hopefully I'll be getting a lil matriarch & a replacement delica & hopefully a manix 2 since I lost mine. Still sad about that manix, especially cause it was the old saber ground one.

I gave an Ontario Rat 1 to my work partner as an early Christmas present, and he's carried it every day since then. I'm giving a friend a Kershaw Blur next week. Hope she likes it.

Decided on a pink mini grip for my mother, and a GEC Beer Scout in acrylic draft for my father. Man does that Beer Scout look sweet.

Giving a new 943 to a coworker and my used 5400 to another.

Thinking 908bk-1501 for my 17 yr old cousin.
 
Hoping to finally get that Rocksted Shu I ordered back in March. It's been delayed for a long time and last I heard it was supposed to be ready Nov 20. At this point it appeared to still be delayed.
