pretty much all of them. :D

i keep all my EDC rotations in the nightstand so i guess that counts. if we include the whole wall then add a cutlass, Sting replica, two sets of claws, and my daisho rests over my bed. technically only the tanto in the daisho counts as a 'knife', but what's life without a bit of rule-bending?
since that picture was taken i've acquired a CS trail hawk, Mora #1, and a scramasax, but i don't keep those by the bed or on the wall.
oh, and i don't have the Crunch anymore.

If it goes bump in the night, the close dirty work will be done by the dog. I'll back him up with my XD-45.

Perhaps I've gotten soft in my old age, but if they are in my house at night, the last thing I want to do is wet work with a knife.

For all the gear I own, I keep an old wooden baseball bat, Stinger LED and a S&W .38 in my sleeping quarters. Never used any of it so I guess it's never failed me.;)

I just keep my CZ P01 9mm next to my bed at night.

Some of those knives look real serious...feel bad for someone who breaks in some of your houses.

I could see the headlines "Robber cut in half during house break in"

I keep a junky 28" samurai sword I bought from US Cavalry about 15 years ago under my side of the bed. My thinking is if I were to see someone coming toward me with a big f-in sword, I would RUN for my life, which is what I would want someone in my house to do...

this thread makes me feel so at home here! XD

i keep most of my knives on the top shelf of the bookshelf next to my bed, and a pile of bokken/walking sticks/assorted wooden swords leaning against the wall nearby. something goes bump in the night, i usually end up grabbing a stick or bokken and slipping my cold steel roach belly into my sweats pocket. :) also, the dogs have taken to sleeping in the house, so i'd have ample warning of any intruders.

Older 870 Wingmaster w/ 20" bbl choked skeet and stoked with high-brass 1 1/4 oz of #4's. This is my skeet, dove and quail gun (w/28" bbl in place btw), its had well over 3k rounds through it and I know it well, even half asleep. Pelican flashlight, and any number of EDC rotation knives. That's all assuming you make it past the 60 lbs of pit that sleeps at the foot of my bed. Though if you still choose to come into the house with the noises that dog makes when something goes bump in the night, well, you deserve what you get.

How ya liking that new 21sf model proguide? Which LaGriffe are you packing? Emerson, Spyderco or Fred's custom?

I like them and am a fan of Perrin's work & enjoy his training / applications videos.

I carry the Emerson model. Love it! I firmly believe it's THE best back up around. Believe me, I've tried them all. As for the Glock, if you are a fan of the acp round, it's a must have. I have 2 if that tells you anything. I'm a big fan of Glock for duty carry. They are just so easy to tear down. It gets wet and dirty on a weekly basis, so easy cleaning is important. Due to my area, my gun is in and out of it's holster all day. It gets banged up a lot and has NEVER given me problems.

I carry the Emerson model in an On Scene Tactical sheath (Eric does amazing work). Love it! I firmly believe it's THE best back up around. Believe me, I've tried them all. Ooooh, nice pic! Foxy Folly?

Not sure why I do, but I have a couple on a dresser not far from my bed. These have both been shown in the forced patina thread in M&T:

Indonesian kuku macan, as close as I get to a Fairbairn Cobra:

Windlass Jambiya, cheap, but purdy:

Just a little further from the bed are a bunch of swords standing on end, and an Igorot "headhunting" axe.

Probably more of a storage choice than a security choice. :D One that would likely creep out many a dame. :(
Just a useless piece of information but kuku machan means tiger claw:)

I keep a SOG Jungle Primitive by my bed (I know I made a mistake to buy it) because it looks menacing as hell.
