What knife do you regret selling?

I had 3 benchmade autos from the 90’s confiscated because of my brother, then in 2010 he stole 90 percent of my collection. I lost interest for about 10 years but I’m starting to regain my love for them. I bought a zt0301 as a retirement present but a marine twisting my arm made me an offer I couldn’t refuse. I regretted it before during and after the trade. I sold a benchmade Griptilian in 154cm that I regret selling. I had 2, the other one being in s30v, which I kept. Then I realized, why can’t I have one in every steel?
Is your Brother still alive?
Mine certainly would not have been...

Rat trap
Numbered snakeskin satin NMFBM
Tachyon 1
Halo 1
Regular Sebenzas
Camillus Cuda Max
BM 42’s.

I wish I still had a lot of them. A lot of old spydercos, some old sebenas, and benchmades. Definitely all of the GECs and other tradionals like queen and s&m i sold. RIP
i remember now i had a really cool busse back in the day with snakeskin. just found out they don't make that micarta anymore, that was a really nice one.

I sold my first ZT on here, it was a 0770cf in elmax. I never carried it much after my collection grew but it was the one knife that started my ZT collection. I also sold a BNIB ZT 0456cf and a 0450cfzdp that i should have kept in hindsight.

I've learned not to take lightly the decision to sell something because eventually I may want it back. I've sold a few knives but only after a lot of thought and no regrets for most of them, but the ones that I have some regret-
A Spyderco Lum tanto with black micarta scales. I didn't think I had a need for it and sold it to raise a little money.
An old Spyderco Goddard, the one with micarta scales. I lost this one in a bad trade. I wouldn't be using it if I still had it but I wish I had it back for nostalgia.
A Benchmade 890 Torrent that I gave my daughter. I may ask her to give it back.

I regret letting go of a MUDD Auto that I traded for a bali of equal value at the time.

it's not that I was so in love w/it but because it is now considered a unicorn and has appreciated in value accordingly because MUDD stopped making them in favor of their far more expensive and profitable OTFs

I agree: WHAT WERE YOU THINKING??
Sorry: that IS a nice-looking knife!

Temporary insanity but I did get a hard to find bali in trade.

And I still have many other autos in my collection to fondle that I still like more than I liked the MUDD.

But I am holding out hope they'll start making them again in order to correct my error.

It's been 3 yrs w/no indication that they will start making them again but I'm still on their buyer's list and should get notice if/when that occurs again.

I did a quick dive on them, and found one for sale...
But way beyond what you have previously stated as your pricing limits.
Sorry...

That's the price appreciation I that mentioned above but if MUDD starts making them again that won't be an issue.

In my defense, the handle of the MUDD Auto is a bit fat and blocky, the blade length is shorter than I normally like and the knife isn't quite as asthetically appealing as the other autos in my collection BUT I wouldn't mind buying another direct from MUDD at non-inflated prices to correct my prior error.

I sold three of these NIB. :(

This J. Oeser XL gunstock. One off. Made to my order. Size, materials, etc.

I was closing on my firsr home, right before Christmas and was worried about money for presents for the kids.

Sold the knife without telling my wife.

Turned out I did not need the money for presents.

Last I saw the knife, it was nearly 3x the cost I sold it for to get it back.

I’ve sold and subsequently repurchased the Spyderco Military at least 4-5 times. I’ll probably pick up another one eventually.

A few older Strider knives that I sold for peanuts. Today they would cost literally thousands to replace if I could find them for sale at all.

The custom CQC-15 I won from one of Emerson’s lotteries. He handed it to me in person and I had a picture taken of us together with the knife (EDIT: I just realized that picture is my avatar). Really every custom Emerson I’ve owned and sold. I’d have an absolutely killer collection if I’d held on to them. Now I only have one, but it’s a good one.

An original Benchmade AFO auto that was in perfect NIB condition and was exactly like the one I carried in Iraq

Those are just a few, there are tons more
