What knife to carry while jogging/running?

You'll want something rust-proof, light-weight and strong -- that's the Salt I at 2 oz.

When I ran I would usually carry IWB of my shorts. It works really well and i could carry just about any pocket knife I wanted. It was usually something along the lines of a kershaw leek or sometimes a spyderco endura.

For light weight, I was also thinking about the Benchmade 530. Or what about the Al Mar Ultralight series? Very light weight, no liners to rust, and your choice of three different sizes.

gotta give my recommendation to a boker subcom. small blade, easy to conceal, and perfect feel in the hand. I forget its on me, it barely goes past my waist band. Also, it is only around 30 bucks. Cant beat it.

For all those that said endura, the endura4 and para2 are nearly the same size with the para2 being about 0.5oz heavier, just saying.

I was going to suggest the Endura. Kneck knives can work for jogging too as long as they are not too loose and they dont bounce around. Cold steel had a few thick spikes that I looked at. You may get some rust on them.

I ride with a CS Gunsite, the big one. Any zytel linerless folder around the 4 inch blade mark should do.

I haven't been able to run for sometime due to pins and plates holding my right leg togeather, but if I still could this would be the one....

Just went running tonight with my serrated Tasman salt clipped high in my pocket, didn't even notice it for the whole run. Highly recommend a very light folder, the salt line is perfect for it

I like the idea of a Benchmade 940 or 530. I've carried a 940 in 154cm IWB anytime I wear shorts for years. Never even notice it's there.

Get an Emerson Commander.
I used to run with one clipped in my front bdu pocket in the winter, it would open while running, I sent it to Emerson and they replaced it with a waveless model. Same thing happened. I told Ernest Emerson of my plight at the atlanta blade show. His reply; Don't run with it!!!!!!I traded it off at another table.(this happened a few years ago) My heavy running knife is a ZT302 but my summer knife is the Pacific salt plain edge.

I run several times a week and I carry a Spyderco Serrated Salt 1. I don't even notice it and I don't have to worry about sweat. I don't think I'll need anything larger but you could use the Pacific instead. I carry one of those at the beach and it's very light as well.
