Osoraku and shonogi (maybe another can't remember) were made from broken or cut blades right?

(I'm usually wrong lol)

I have an old James Williams designed CRKT Hisshou

I consider that more of a large tanto than a waki , but it's a nice design!

This is a very long thread and I haven't read everything yet but has someone suggested a Nessmuk yet?

We have already seen the Kephart, so I guess there is some precedent for a classically styled camp knife. I am quite fond of the pattern and searched for years for the perfect one for me. I have the one below that some of you folks may recognize and it is excellent but I bet Nathan could make an even better one.

A man can dream!

I believe it’s been said that those patterns have run their course as they made a lot of them, however you may score in this Friday’s sale and you could get either of those knives. Have you been watching the exchange? They have both been coming up recently, some sitting a bit before selling. Jump if you’re gonna jump!

My biggest problem is when one comes up I don't have the funds and typically the seller doesn't want to wait a couple of weeks to when I do. I mean that's totally understandable given the situation and all. I've wanted a kephart chiefly and then a uf1 or two. It'll happen one of these days.

To be honest, at least some of the regulars around here can charge pretty inflated prices...unless you are also including them in the "flipper" category.

Bottom line...don't pay more than you feel reasonable. Or...if you do, that's fine, but there's no basis for complaint, imho.
