What knives were so good you bought a duplicate?

Honestly i stopped doing that. At one point I wanted to have a mint example and a user. But then I realized I was just wasting money I could have spent on other knives. And if a knife is made so well there is no need for a second. I would rather have variety. Hording duplicates made sense to me when I obsessed over keeping my knives in pristine condition. Then I realized it was sorta pointless.

I have duplicates of the Buck Vantage in both large and small.

Also The Swamp Rat Ratmandu.

Kershaw Skylines and Spyderco Delicas.

Got a few dupes of Becker BK's but those are for modding.

Spyderco Delica, Gayle Bradley and Centofante 3. Also the Endura and Native if you count different generations.

Case Stockman, Trapper and Peanut slip joints in different handle material configurations and blade steel types.

Some I would like duplicates of are Al Mar SERE 2000, Benchmade Mini Presidio Ultra, CRK Sebenza and ZT 0550. Maybe someday.

Victorinox SAKs

Gerber Applegate Fairbairn Combat and Covert

Cold Steel Red River knives

2Hawks Hawks

ive never bought an exact dupe before... ive had gunhammers and xm18 hinderers with different blade shapes or pm2s with different steel types but never a carbon copy of something I have. theres too much out there im interested in so i cant justify getting a duplicate of even a favorite blade over something i havent tried

If I find a knife I really like, I always want at least one back-up, for no good reason.
Delica (3)
MT Scarab (2)
MT UTX-85 (2)
MT LUDT (2)
Mini-grip (2)
CRK Sebenza (2)
Izula/Izula 2 (4)
SAK- Classics, huntsman, alox Cadets, farmers (too many to count)

Dozier Arkansas Traveler. This is such a fantastic knife I grab them whenever I am lucky enough to come across one:

Spyderco Paramilitary 2 (different steels)
Benchmade 710 (different steels)
Benchmade 730
Benchmade 806 (different steels)

I should probably move a few, especially since I've been carrying a Gayle Bradley most of the time recently, but... I really like the PM2 sprints and the classic BMs. Getting hard to find for good prices, which is why I picked up several when I had the chances. I know I'd regret it if I started to get rid of them, so they stay.

"good for the money" I'd say Enlan el-01. I have these two.

I appreciate all the answers to this thread; However, I was sort of hoping you were going to talk me OUT of this.

Oh well!

Kershaw RAM (once i found out they were discontinued)
CRKT shenanigan (knife is still in production but i still bought an extra plastic framed one and an extra aluminium one. i REALLY like this knife)

Kershaw Tremor, I initially could only find a combo edge and then a few months ago Kershaw Guy got plain edges in stock, I bought 2. Partly because they're cheap (but a great value) and also because they're discontinued.

I have multiple RAT II's (an orange, a zombie green, and an olive green), multiple Utilitac IIs, and multiple Buck 110s. Inexpensive folders, why not?

Forrest, you should post some pics of your RATs. I didn't know you had a small army :)

I can do that. I'm starting to move my collection into their new home this week, I'll snap some pics then. I got one of those wooden tool chests from Harbor Freight on Saturday, just haven't had the chance to get the move done! I am looking forward to organizing everything, should be neat!
