what lights ya carry??

I've been looking at that LX2. Very nice light. I'm waiting on the Saint, ARC 1/2, a 6PL (I know, I know, baseline model, but I don't have one. Still need to get a Endura too.), and a M6.

Josh K, if you do pick up a 6PL, may I suggest picking up a Malkoff drop-in to replace the P60L.

The Malkoffs are simply amazing and make the 6P into one of the greatest lights out there! I'd recommend the M60WL - amazing incan-like tint and great output/runtime (140+ lumens for 4.5 hours)... Gene Malkoff is a great guy to boot as well!

Looks nice! I'm really liking the http://www.malkoffdevices.com/shop/...oducts_id=52&zenid=2hi2mo65efe3qainmhi9m4g0r6 though. :D 500+ Lumans? That's insane.

Usually I have either a Surefire L1 (cree version) or my HDS B42XRGT in my pocket. I will occasionally throw my E2e in the pocket running a Lumensfactory bulb (I forget which one right now) on 1x17670 if I'm feeling incandescent.

I keep my 6P with Bugoutgear dropin (yeah, old school) upgraded with a Seoul P4 in my flyfishing vest along with an RC4.

If I'm carrying a pack I'll toss in my 6P+MC123 extender+Seouled 1st Gen KL3 w/ 2x17500 (cause it was my first real light and one of my favorites), my Leef 2x18650 body w/ Lumenfactory HO9, or the old SL TL3 on 2x17500.

Its a hell of a flood light - not too much throw though.

I really cant stress enough how great the Malkoffs are  Be careful though they are addictive ;)

There is a ton of info on them and beam shots over on www.candlepowerforums.com (my other addiction) - you can pick up the Makoffs on the Marketplace over there too for great prices :D

Enjoy!

Still, I just might have to try it.

I'm keeping my G2L stock, though I might put the 80 Luman Malkoff in it just to boost runtime. I've got a review of the V80 holster coming soon. :)

You are already talking like a true flashaholic - I can't recommend the M60LL enough for the G2 - I have two set up that way.

Plenty bright and, as with all the Malkoffs, the stated runtime (8 hours in the M60LLs case) is fully regulated runtime - meaning you get the full 80 lumens for the full 8 hours - then you get about another 10 hours of useful output as it drops out of regulation

Feel free to shoot me an email if you have any questions - also I cant recommend buying off of CPF enough - great deals and you support another great community just like this one here ;)

Wow, there's some great lights in this thread! I usually have a E2D LED or Backup handy. I don't have it during the day, but if I go out and it's going to get dark, I do. I also keep one in my car and one on my AR.

Sorry for the lousy pic and the one the one of the Emerson, but it has my E2D LED in it! The group shot is a crop from an image of some other stuff.

Nice gear! Looks like you are well prepared!

I've got a Fenix l2d, and EO1 that I edc. I also got some cheaper Romissn lights from Dealextreme. the G2, and the N3 I put some q5's and new drivers in them. pretty sweet lights for 20 some dollars each.

I picked up a Pelican M4 & Surefire 9P defender w/LED upgrade.... The SF will go down the road... Love the Pelican...that is a sweet light

At the moment it's just a $10 Inova keychain flashlight. This'll hold me over until I buy a Surefire E1B... looks like a wicked lil' flashlight.

I really want to get a Fenix light but, other than that, I've got a few Inova products but have been carrying an Essential Gear mini spotlight lately. I'm really digging it too. It's surprisingly powerful for such a small and inexpensive light and recharges in 2 out of 3 vehicles I've tried it in.

oh boy - where do I begin... I'm a surefire fiend.

I escaped from candlepower forums after a year long addiction to lights.

That's hilarious and so true!! Every time I escape from one of these damn addictions and forums, I find another or start the rotation again!

Knife/Light/1911 - One is constantly running strong, one is slowed, but still has a strong presence and the third is taking a very, very short rest...

Back on topic, I carry either a E2D LED, E2L Outdoorsman LED or E1B Backup. I'm looking into the new LX2 Lumamax with it's 200 lumens!

I've been following a thread about the LX2 on another forum and it looks pretty intense. I really want one. I've thought about selling some of my lights to get one but the inability to use Lithium Ion rechargeables is a big negative to me. Other than that I think it would be my perfect all-around light.

You can use lithion CR123 cells with all SF lights. You just have to be careful and make sure they are a true 3 volts per cell.

You get a slightly diminished runtime but for a EDC light it's indispensable to be able to pop them out at the end of the day and have them back at full strength in the morning.

like Josh K said if you want to play it safe by LifePo4 3 volt rechargables - tenergy makes ones but the cream of the crop are by AW which can be found on candlepower marketplace, lighthound or I think even 4sevens. You get 1/3 the runtime of primary cells but don't have to worry about long term damage to the LED.

Honestly though regular 3.7 volt rcrs will be fine - I've used them in my e2dl for over 6 months with no ill effects. You will get some flickering on low mode but that should dissapear as soon as the voltage drops down.

Enjoy!

I carry my Fenix L2D and I love it.

My bro really likes his L1D. Both are very good for the price and run off AA batteries.
