RAT PACK # 91

RAT PACK

I haven't seen anyone mention them yet, but I've enjoyed my Leatherman Serac (S2 and S3). The S3 in particular since I don't burn through the CR123's as quick!

I always carry a Fenix E01. I have a Surefire E2e, 6P defender (6P with a pocket clip) and a G2 but hardly ever use them any more because of the battery life. I alos have an Inova and a Rayovac LED that I use.

My Ulta Stinger, Super Tac, and E2D get the most use out of everything I own. I mostly use the Ultra stinger because its rechargeable and has good throw and flood. I use the Super Tac when I need to light up a gnats ass at 150 yards...you'd be amazed at how tight that dish keeps the light. The E2D goes in my pocket and has fought many cargo pockets and won!

I plan on getting something like a Fenix to EDC so it will be easier on my pockets. Having the E2D is cool but I doubt I'll ever need to hit someone with a flashlight. One of my friends was drunk and got my E2D and hit another (drunk) friend in the arm with it. Boy did that look bad! It took a HUGE chunk out of his arm and it was bleeding profusely. E2D can really mess stuff up...I've been VERY impressed with it. I've smashed wood, ice, and glass with the front of my E2D and its never skipped a beat.

My pleasure bud! I got it from 4Sevens (from CPF). I've bought all my Fenix, Civictors and the NiteCore from him over the past few years. Great guys, great service and free shipping worldwide.

Here's a link to the EZ AA from their website: http://www.4sevens.com/product_info.php?cPath=93&products_id=1465

I went with this over a AAA light because it's almost as small as an AAA light, better runtimes, brighter, and I find AAs easier to come by in a pinch than AAAs.

I pre-ordered mine and got a free USB rechargeable AA NiMh with my light. For the size it's really bright.

EDIT: Oh, it makes a great keychain light too: http://www.4sevens.com/popup_image.php?pID=1465&image=4

man, you had to show me that, didn't you?
now Im convinced. and a bit more poor too. but I'm sure it will be well worth it. thanks again mystic. awesome little light.

LOL glad to help. I feel your pain, my bank account's gonna be a bit lighter soon too. I'm just about to place a CountyComm order for some stuff, including one of their Breacher bars, Micro Grappling Hooks, Grimlocks, a Leather and a Nylon LA Wallet, spool of Kevlar thread, Versadriver, Tick Tweezers, ARES-SO LED lights, Multi-purpose carrying pouch, PSK Tins (unbranded Altoids-type tins). They don't ship outside the US but my mom's making a visit here from Florida at the end of the month so I'm gonna ship it there and she'll bring it with her.

at work:
Fenix PD30

at home:
Modamag Drake around my neck
keyring led (blue) light (Fauxton Light) from CountyComm

man, even though it is unbelievably overpriced, I really want that surefire headlamp that is supposedly coming out.

After going through too many LED mini mags, I finally broke down and bought my first surefire 6P LED. I just picked up a 6P that is going to get the LED treatment soon.

Surefire's my poison of choice when it comes to flashlights. Currently it's a E2DL on the nightstand and a G2L in a V80 holster when I'm at work.

$120 for an adjustable output, water proof (1m I believe), multiple cell compatible headlamp isn't overpriced to me.

Surefire makes top notch lights backed by a great warranty. Just like fine knives, some people balk when I tell them the XM-18 I have (passaround) retails for about $600. I don't think I could get $600 for the car I drive around.

I'm right there with you Josh K - addicted to my Surefires and cant wait for the Saint headlamp!

Just picked up the new LX2 (200/15 high/low lumens) and its just friggin awesome - its a tad brighter than my E2DL was and has that wonderful UI of the L and A series

I actually sold my E2DL on CPF since getting the LX2 - its perfection.

Significant upgrade here: Maratac 9290 AA Flashlight from countycom. variable brightness from 6-190 lumens. I like it.

I EDC a jailbroken Novatac 120E (to give it full programmability). My car kit contains a Ra Clicky 140T and a Zebralight H30, my E&E kit contains a Photon Freedom. My BOB contains another Ra Clicky 170T and another jailbroken Novatac 120E. I prefer the 123 cell to the AA. You can fit three cells with duct tape isolators into a standard aluminium sparkler tube and you get better power and longer life out of them than most AAs. Only thing I use AA for is a little radio (countrycom), and I have a backup Sony winder for when I run out of AAs.

I've been looking at that LX2. Very nice light. I'm waiting on the Saint, ARC 1/2, a 6PL (I know, I know, baseline model, but I don't have one. Still need to get a Endura too.), and a M6.

I always have my Fenix L1D with me. If I leave the house after dark I will take my Nitecore D20. I am saving up for a Fenix TK-40 (because I absolutely need 700 lumens worth of light at all times!)
