Thanks for nothing ~ P. I didn't think the sheepsfoot would do anything for me until I saw those pictures. I was wrong. Those smooth ivories are handsome knives.

I gotta stay away from this thread.

Just walked in the door from my day's errands, and the old Barlow thread is Baaaccckkkk!
Like a pile of Birthday presents!
Progress is indeed being made. Can't wait to see the wood handles polished up, but that Smooth Ivory Bone is lookin' mighty fine!
Thanks for bringing the pictures over, Sarah!
It's not possible to be cool about this; I am positively giddy!!

I remember the thrill of finding a Sheepfoot Jack when I was more actively collecting old knives. It was especially sweet because they were relatively rare compared to clips and spears.
GEC did a nice design of this blade.
To quote Barry, Wowzers!!

Suddenly, after a knife doldrum period for me, a whole lot of enticement looms in sight!

That Ivory Bone looks like it stepped out of another age........

thank the gods for tax returns in election years.normally i end up having to pay money this year is a federal election so they need to get in the good books.ijust did our returns and there will be walnut for dinner!

I was thinking that I wasn't going to get a sheepsfoot Charlow, but after seeing those pics, I might have to rethink not getting one of these. Now I just have to decide between the ironwood, walnut and ivory bone. :D

The smooth Ivory Bone is going to look great! I'm also really looking forward to the american Walnut, and African Black Wood. The African Black Wood is my new favorite wood used for pocket knife covers. I want one of each!

I like the Red Sawcut a lot also,
and I know I am gonna like the Ivory - I can just feel it coming!
