What Makes a Good, Traditional Barlow?

I rescued one of those from a junk-shop earlier this summer. One like that, in new condition (mine has a touch of blade wobble), with a single blade for a slimmer handle, and made right there in my home state to boot? This might just be the GEC I've been waiting for.

As a side-note, your blade looks a little funny to me -- mine's so swaybacked, it never occurred to me how little curvature it's *supposed* to have out there at the tip.

Wow, that is cool to see the same Barlow. Here is another picture to trade. The smaller blade tip got melted off from touching a automotive battery terminal.

I really like the looks of that bone, great looking knife!

Thanks folks! I'm glad you like it! You gotta hand it to those Pennsylvanians!
They know how to put together a pocket knife!!
Now if they will just hand it to me!!!

Wow. I'm in! Oh, wait, this isn't a give away? Well more debt for me! Now spear point or clip?

This earns a "phwaw" from me. Really glad they were able to replicate the smooth bone look of the classic Barlow. Now to decide how many combinations of covers and blades my wallet can support.

Hats off.......that is one beautiful knife...and accompanied with the thinner spear...what a fantastic package...

Fantastic. Well done Charlie. Nice thread this
