What Makes a Good, Traditional Barlow?

I picked up a couple of absolute gems. First things first this Remington. Has this even be used ?

It needs better pics but light was fading fast when I got home

Any idea on time frame ? I know somewhere between 1920 and 1940 but but it has the lower level remington markings as opposed to the circle shield which are easier to date.

The second is a belknap blue grass model 5722 with long pull.

Also very clean but not quite as clean as the Remington. A small chip and a slight crack on the back of the bone at one pin.

Any Idea on age ? 40s/50s ?

I promise I will get some better pics!

Likely 1950-1968 in my opinion. The spun pins indicate newer than hammered pin models.

Gents I thought I'd be cheeky (me?, never!) and go straight to the source regarding this early example of the breed.
The tang is worn by time but the last letter up top seems to end in a serif "W", perhaps Barlow?
Below a (five or six?) letter word seems to end with *****N & Co Sheffield.
The bolsters are integral and that nice wee notch by the pivot I've seen in an similarly early Oates example.
I've tapped out came up with not much, perhaps you know the maker or could speculate?
