What Makes a Good, Traditional Barlow?

Dan - I wanted the two blade - as usual for me - but beggars can't be quite so choosey where these knives are concerned. I am very very happy to get one of the 3rd cut stag's at all. I sure hope it don't get crunched between there and here! :eek::D

I hope you find one Dan and Snoopy. We need to beg and plead with Charlie to make these batches a bit larger. :D

I keep hoping he might acquire a temporary and mild case of Dementia and order a thousand of these by accident:

I heartily agree, Primble. That is my Grail: sheepsfoot, long pull, saw cut brown
I've put a razor in my cart several times, but keep taking it out because it's not The One.
 
Sadly I think I will have to keep my sig line up. Today is my 1st day off after working 4 straight 12(+) hour shifts at the clinic. I believe I missed out on my shot to get a walnut handled single clip blade Charlow. I keep getting tempted by the Boy's Knife versions, but I know it wouldn't satisfy the itch so I hold off. Oh well the search is almost as fun.

Thanks to some very helpful members here I have my first TC Barlows on the way :)

Single blade 3rd cut stag
2 blade 3rd cut stag
2 blade rust red jigged bone

Pics in a few days!!!
 
Well just ordered a 3rd cut stag single clip blade. While I'd prefer the Walnut, the 3rd cut stag I ordered looked very nice. Regardless I'm pretty happy to finally have a single clip blade Charlow on it's way to me.

Great knife you have there. I have a single Sheepsfoot Barlow in the African Blackwood and it's my favorite knife.

One can only hope, but, I believe Waynorth has said in the past that he would not order more of the same exact Charlow. I guess it don't hurt to dream or to hope the glitter goes away from another members old Charlow. :D

I grabbed the rust red bone in the single clip, never had a TC in single blade before so excited to check it out. I debated about the 3rd cut stag too, it was a tough decision. They sure didn't last long!!!

Glitter is just that Mr. Primble. Let's see some Old knives :eek: ;)

Is that dings and scratches I see on the bolster of that ole wore out knife? I am going to check my coin drawer - someone stole my coins! :eek:

It is amazing how fond a knife lover gets of his/her knife when another knife lover expresses interest or makes an offer on it. :p
